The NHL season is back tomorrow! Fall... my favorite time of year. So what are everyone's predictions this year? Will Vegas continue to be a contender. (I'm gonna say no) What teams will surprise this season. What teams are over rated. Westgate app actually has a decent prop selection on the NHL, which I'm not used to seeing.

Knights are -200 on their opener against Philly, which seems way too high. I will probably be fading them a lot this year, especially since we can 5 cents plus better against them them what pinny offers most of the time.

The prop bet I took which I admit is a homer play is Kovalchuk to win the Rocket Richard award. It's awarded to the player with the most goals at the end of the season. It's 200-1, only tied up $5 to win $1000. He's won it before and will be playing on a line with Kopitar who likes to pass the puck.

Whats the best bet for tomorrow?

Here are the over night lines from WestGate

Canadiens +195
Maple Leafs -215

Bruins +115
Capitals -125

Flames -130
Canucks +120

Ducks +145
Sharks -160

Good luck with your Kings. Sharks have Karllson now. Sharks might be a team to watch out for in the west. Not sure about your long shot prediction of Kovlachuk.(how old is he now?) Kings usually don't score a lot of goals, but he could be worth a long shot like that. I've always admired the Kings toughness and defensive style. Two Stanley Cups says it all. I am a big Drew Doughty fan. He is way better then Victor Hedman who won the Norris last year. Good luck with the Kings....I'm ready for the puck drop

Thanks, Kovalchuk is only 35 I think, so He's right there on that edge of age. He had a good season in the KHL last year, was their number one scorer. But the KHL isn't the NHL. Stamkos getting a decent number at 20 to 1 for it. Ovechkin is is the favorite though, he's won it 7 times now, and is 7 to 1.

Sharks are going to be the team to beat in the West IMO. Lightning should be right there at the top in East. You guys got one in 2004 and are due with all the that talent. Us Kings fans waited a long time, we had Gretzky in his prime and still couldn't win one. Lots of Lightning fans in this forum too.

Hey Slapshot, we're in a tough division, looks like Boston, Toronto and the Lightning will be fighting over the first spot again in the division. I thought the Lightning caught a break last year, when we didn't have to play Toronto in the first round. After we beat Boston, I thought we were home free to the Finals.
