Almly's SuperBowl pick 8-2 in playoffs (documented)

After losing on the Colts and the over in the NE vs Indy game and winning on the Panthers in the Car vs Philly game my record drops to 8-2 in the playoffs. Thought the officiating was horrible on the second to last drive for the Colts and some flargarant holds were ignored but I guess theres nothing we can do about it.

I really like the SuperBowl matchup and am all over Carolina like a cheap suit. Why? It's pretty simple. They have the better offense and the better defense. The only advantage that NE has in this matchup is at QB and Coaching. My only concern with this game is Belichick. The man is a god. However, having said that I still really like Carolina +7. Though most books have this at +6.5 finding it at +7 shouldnt be a problem.

My play is 2/3's on the +7 and 1/3 on the moneyline. I say the Panthers win this outright. Take the +220 on the money line and make some real money.

Own up fellas, jam and Brian707 are NE fans, you can just smell it in their posts. I'm with you almy, nothing against NE they have had a great year and are probably a better team, but they are going down hard in this one. Forget the points, look for CAR to score 1st and never look back. If NE get the ball 1st I expect them to go for the throat early by going deep, only to have it backfire as they find out how good the CAR defense is. Remember NE almost lost to HOU on the same field earlier this year, 2nd time will be the charm. Belichick won't be a factor because NE will fall behind and be on their heels all game long.

Yes, bobo, Carolina did in fact lose to Houston. Any serious capper knows that there are generally stats to support both teams (fave or dog) in any game and it's a fool that is blind to that fact. The real cappers can sort through the BS and make the right calls for the "right" reasons.

Sorry for the confusion Brian. I can't say I know much about Almy, just happen to agree with the pick this week. I'm gonna wait till Sunday to put mine in though, I still think NE is better team (In a best of 3). If they had a real RB I'd be on them but as is 7 points,give me a break! NE has by far the greatest home field advantage going these days and they don't have that here. As far as the HOU thing my mistake I forgot CAR lost to them in HOU, so I guess both teams played bad offensively on this field. Hallr21 if you think a team's history at a particular venue is not important you're way off because your talking about human beings, and anyone who has played sports seriously knows that for whatever reason some players just play better in certain places. It's really hard to say why, but for example it is no coincidence that Doc Gooden went 29-4 against the Cubs in his career, for whatever reason he killed those guys every single time, and that is just one out of thousands of examples of a player or a team dominating a certain field or opponent.
