Here are the early games right now, I'm still working on the rest of the games. I will have a 20 play (20 plays are 4-1 on the season) that tips off at 8:00 posted shortly. I hope that you all are having a great season as well.
St. Joseph's -21 (LOST 72-54) -7.49 UNITS
Who's going to stop St. Joe's??? The Hawks (Road: 12-0 SU, 7-3 ATS) continue to rack up wins and remain undefeated after Jameer Nelson scored 20 points and Pat Carroll had a pair of 3-pointers to key an early second-half run as third-ranked Saint Joseph's pulled away for a 73-59 A-10 victory over Rhode Island Saturday. The Hawks (22-0, 11-0 A-10 East) moved within five wins of a perfect regular season. Delonte West and Tyrone Barley each scored 14 points for the Hawks. Fordham (H: 3-6 SU, 1-5 ATS) lost the first game badly to St. Joe's, 79-35, and have an 8-game losing streak. Wins have been easy to come by for the Hawks who haven't been threatened lately. Fordham is seriously undermanned here, and the wins will keep on coming for the Hawks.
5 Units Xavier -5 (WON 78-68) +5.00 UNITS
Xavier (R: 3-7 SU, ATS) capitalized on poor Massachusetts shooting to earn its fourth consecutive win, 64-44, over the Minutemen. Freshman Justin Cage and Aaron Myles each scored 12 points for Xavier and Justin Doellman added 11 points and Lionel Chalmers had 10. Gary Neal scored 30 and Steven Smith had 26 to lead La Salle to an 89-78 win over St. Bonaventure on Saturday. La Salle (H: 11-2 SU, 5-6 ATS) shot 68 percent from the floor (19 of 28) in the first half while St. Bonaventure shot only 38 percent (14 of 37). For the game LaSalle shot 62 percent; St. Bonaventure shot 43 percent. Smith had 12 rebounds for La Salle. Xavier destroyed LaSalle 84-45 four weeks ago and is on a four game winning streak. Xavier's convincing win in the first game tilts the scale in their favor for the rematch.
3 Units Tulane +9.5 (LOST -3.03 UNITS)
A bit too little too late but Tulane (R: 0-6 SU, 2-4 ATS; 3-7 C-USA) after a league 7 game losing streak, has won three straight following a 67-66 win over TCU on Saturday. Quincy Davis led the Wave with 14 points (6-of-6 shooting) and nine rebounds. Wayne Tinsley had 10 as Tulane trailed by as many as 16 points in the game and 15 in the second half. TCU led 33-24 at halftime. East Carolina (H: 7-5 SU, 1-4 ATS) is on a 1-11 SU run after losing 72-68 to Alabama-Birmingham Saturday. Belton Rivers scored 26 points to lead East Carolina. Mike Cook added 11 points and Erroyl Bing had 10 for the Pirates. Neither team is an offensive jaugernaut but EC is at home aginst a Tulane squad which is terrible on the road.
Wichita State +1 (LOST 80-85) -3.39 UNITS
Battle of the frontcourts in the Missouri Valley Conference. These teams are very strong defensively, so don't look for a lot of points: Wichita holds teams to 38% shooting, while Northern Iowa allows 42%. Red-hot Wichita is riding a 7-1 SU/ATS run the last eight games. The Wichita State Shockers (17-7 SU, 15-5 ATS) shoot 47% from the field while holding opponents to 38% shooting, led by junior guard Randy Burns, junior 6’-5” Jamar Howard (14 ppg, 6 rpg) and a huge frontcourt of 6’-8” junior Rob Kampman (9 ppg, 5 rpg) and 6’-10”, 250-lb sophomore C Paul Miller (6 rpg). Wichita is a remarkable 8-3 SU/8-2 ATS on the road! They outscore foes by a 70-61 average on the road. The Northern Iowa Panthers (13-9 SU, 11-9 ATS) have a strong front line behind 6’-6” senior C David Gruber (12 ppg, 7 rpg) and 6’-7”, 240-lb senior Matt Schneiderman (11 ppg, 7 rpg). They also have three-point specialist 6’-3” sophomore Ben Jacobson (13 ppg) in the backcourt. Northern Iowa his 11-3 SU/6-6 ATS at home and this is a revenge spot, as last month Wichita won 82-65 at home over Northern Iowa! Still, the visitors are on a roll and playing awesome ball on the road.
