TUESDAY 2-0 +22.00 UNITS
Cashed in BIG on my GOM Florida -2.5!!! Now let's keep is going tonight!!! Here are tongihts selections:
10 Units Oklahoma -9.5 -108
After learning it will be without forward Kevin Bookout for the remainder of the season, Oklahoma halted a four-game losing streak with a 61-49 Big 12 Conference win over Kansas State. Jason Detrick scored 24 points for Oklahoma (R: 1-3 SU, ATS; 1-3 Big 12), which lost its first three conference games of the season. Detrick connected on 8-of-14 shots made up for a sub-par day for Oklahoma's other four starters, who combined to shoot 30 percent (9-of-30). Even without much confidence, the Sooners can look forward to playing Baylor which has been even more unimpressive, losing their first four league games before topping Iowa State 63-59 on Saturday. Corey Herring scored 16 points and Harvey Thomas added 12 to lead Baylor. The Bears went on an 8-2 run and led at the half 21-20 despite hitting only eight of 29 field goal attempts. Despite their slow start, the Sooners play tough defense and should have a pleasant visit to Texas on Wednesday.
7 Units South Carolina +5.5 -108
After taking the week off, the South Carolina Gamecocks (17-2 SU, 8-5 ATS) got back into the mix with a very tough win against LSU at Home, 61-55 SU. Now they travel to Vanderbilt (13-3 SU, 7-6 ATS) for a key SEC East match-up. Vandy once again struggled on the Road losing to very mediocre Arkansas 70-62 SU. South Carolina has been awesome on the Road (6-1 SU) and only permitting 58 points a game. Opponents are only shooting 36% against South Carolina. Junior Carlos Powell leads the Gamecocks with 14 points and 7 rebounds a game. All this will be important since Vandy is unbeaten at Home (11-0 SU) and averaging 82 points a game. However, Vanderbilt’s scoring in SEC play tilts is much lower at 67 points a game. This low scoring plays right into the clutches of the Gamecocks’ stifling defense. Look for South Carolina to be the better squad.
5 Units Toledo -5.5 -104
These two teams are tied for second place in the MAC West with 2 conference defeats apiece, just behind Western Michigan. But the visitors may have some trouble here. Toledo loves to run and scores 84 ppg at home, while Ball State is just 1-6 on the road where the offense gets just 60 ppg. Ball State (8-7 SU, 7-5 ATS) is young and is struggling on the road for the second straight season. A year ago, Ball State was 3-11 SU/6-8 ATS on the road and this season they are 1-6 SU/3-3 ATS on the road where they are getting outscored by a 71-60 average. The Ball State Cardinals have 6’-8” senior Cameron Echols (10 ppg, 6.5 rpg) and 6’-7” senior Robert Owens (13 ppg) up front. Toledo (13-4 SU, 8-8 ATS) likes to run and is an impressive 7-0 SU (though 2-5 ATS) at home where they outscore foes by an 84-74 average. The Toledo Rockets have great balance with 6’-3” junior Keith Triplett (19 points, 5 rebounds per game, 50% FG) and 6’-6” sophomore Sammy Villegas (14 ppg). Toledo won't be in a good mood, as they just had a 4-game win streak end with an embarrassing 92-56 defeat at Kent! That was a tough MAC loss and they should bounce back here in front of the home fans.
5 Units Wisconsin -8.5 -109
Devin Harris and Mike Wilkinson each had career scoring days as the Badgers extended their home winning streak to 24 games by pulling away for a 76-56 rout over Illinois Saturday. Wisconsin (Road: 2-3 SU, ATS; 4-1 Big Ten) bolted to a 17-6 lead on Harris and Wilkinson's combined 29 first-half points. Ohio State has lost five of six games and has serious problems. In the 79-65 loss to Iowa on Saturday, they played without leading scorer Tony Stockman, whose future with the team is in question. He did not make the trip and coach Jim O'Brien said he wasn't sure if Stockman wanted to continue playing. Brandon Fuss-Cheatham led the Buckeyes with 17 points, 10 in the final 2:51, and J.J. Sullinger scored 15. The defending Big Ten Champs Badgers are still the horse to beat. Ohio State would need Jerry Lucas and John Havlicek to make this interesting.
5 Units Hawaii +7.5 -101
It should be a shootout in a battle for first place in the WAC. Hawaii is in first place in the WAC (6-1) while Rice is tied for second (5-2). Hawaii (14-3 SU, 9-6 ATS) is on a roll, winning six straight while going 5-0-1 ATS. They are tough to beat because of a terrific frontcourt of 6’-10” senior Haim Shimonovich (7 rpg) and 6’-9” sophomore Julian Sensley (10 ppg, 7 rpg), and a deep backcourt anchored by 6’-5” senior Mike Kuebler (19 ppg) and senior Phil Martin (12 ppg). Hawaii is 5-1 SU/ATS on the road!!! Rice has a terrific offense, shooting 47% averaging 78 ppg at home!!!! They like to run behind 6’-6” junior Michael Harris (18 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 58% FGs), 6’-4” junior Jason McKrieth (15 ppg, 5 rpg), and senior point guard Rashid Smith (5.7 apg). Rice is 7-2 SU/4-1 ATS at home and they're off a 101-76 loss at Nevada. Should be a close, high scoring game!!!
Good luck tonight my friend's
