Season 147-131-6 +37.96
Small gain yesterday with my 20 unit play on Iowa -1 bring home the cash!!! 20 unit selections are now 5-1 ATS!!! Here are tonights selections:
7 Units Maryland -2.5
Maryland (13-8 SU, 9-9 ATS) really struggled defensively against North Carolina, losing 97-86 SU. Maryland now comes Home to face Georgia Tech (18-6 SU, 14-9 ATS). Tech is a little sore after getting beat by Virginia, 82-80 SU. In the first game, Tech had an easy time at Home, beating the Turtles, 81-71 SU. In that game, the Terps shot just 36% from the field and were out-rebounded 46-40. Tech is just 5-5 SU on the Road, decent but not exceptional. They will have to be exceptional to beat the Terps in Maryland this late in the year. Maryland’s Jamar Smith (14 ppg, 10 rpg) had only 7 points in that game. Tech won’t get that lucky again. Maryland’s woes in the ACC, result from the fact that they are giving up 76 points a game in ACC play. It will be tough to improve on that number since Tech scores 78 points a game on the Road. Tech has more talent, but they have already lost 3 straight ACC Road games and this would not be a surprising 4th.
7 Units Arizona -2.5 -110
Arizona (R: 5-4 SU, 4-5 ATS) managed an improbable 107-83 win over UCLA last Saturday. The Bruins shot 66 percent but had 28 turnovers that resulted in 50 points for the Wildcats. Salim Stoudamire led Arizona with a career-high 34 points. The quick Wildcats' full-court pressure forced many of the Bruin blunders. Oregon (H: 8-2 SU, 5-5 ATS) hasn't beaten a tournament-caliber team yet this season, and needs an attention-getting victory over Arizona to buoy their postseason dreams. The Ducks were routed 90-66 in Tucson, but will come out running and shooting, a questionable strategy against one of the nation's best transition teams. Freshman point guard Aaron Brooks, sidelined since Jan. 4 with a broken right wrist, had his cast removed a week ago, began dribbling a basketball late in the week, and may be available to play Thursday against Arizona.
7 Units Wright State -8 -105
Home/road tells a lot about this game. Wright State is 7-5 SU/6-3 ATS at home where they hold opponents to 61.8 ppg, while Youngstown is 1-10 SU on the road where they get outscored by a 73-61 average. The Youngstown State Penguins (8-15) have two decent frontcourt players in 6’-8” senior center Adam Baumann (12 ppg, 6.8 rpg) and 6’-6” senior TeJay Anderson (9 ppg, 6 rpg). They are off a stunning 85-84 upset win at home over Milwaukee as a +7 dog, as junior guard Doug Underwood went wild with 26 points nailing 6-of-9 three pointers! But after a three-game home stand, they go on the road here. Wright State (13-11 SU, 14-7 ATS) has had a fine season under first year coach Paul Biancardi. They have two dynamite scorers in 6’-8” senior forward Seth Doliboa (16 ppg, 7 rpg) and 6’-2” senior guard Vernard Hollins (15 ppg, 6 rpg, 4.7 apg), and good role players like freshman forward Alex Kock and 6’-5” freshman Zakee Boyd. Wright has already won 69-59 at Youngstown and should ambush the Penguins, who are still sky-high after the upset of
