(20 Units Plays Now 7-1 or 88%)

Season 168-143-10 +129.75 Units

Great day yesterday and I hope that today is just as good!!! I have another 20 units play in the mid-day action!!! Be sure to check back as I will post the late action later

5 Units Georgia Tech -6 (WON 79-60) +5.00 UNITS

The ACC is the best conference in America, except for Clemson (10-15 SU, 9-12 ATS). Honestly, Head Coach Oliver Purnell has probably got the most out of his team. However, you just can’t race wiener dogs against Kentucky Derby candidates every night and expect to get many wins, especially on someone else’s track. Clemson has pretty much folded up the tents after getting slugged by Maryland the other night, 70-49 SU. On the other hand, Georgia Tech (19-11 SU, 15-8 ATS) is a good team on the slide after getting beat up by NC State, 79-69 SU. That is two consecutive losses at Home for the Yellow Jackets at the end of the season. Now they travel to Clemson where ALL of Clemson’s wins have come. In their first game, Clemson kept it close before losing to Tech, 76-69 SU, a month ago. In that game, Tech’s BJ Elder (16 ppg, 3 rpg) lit up Clemmie for 36 points. Tech cannot afford another cheap loss and Clemson is simply looking for the exit door on this season.

5 Units Michigan State -11 (WON 79-60) +5.00 UNITS

An 8-1 run has the Spartans (R: 4-6 SU, ATS) cruisin' towards a Big-10 title after topping Michigan 72-69 on Tuesday. Chris Hill scored 19 and Kelvin Torbert had 18 points. The Spartans (16-9, 11-3 Big Ten) trailed by 12 midway through the second half before rallying to win its fourth straight to stay a game ahead of Illinois. Paul Davis had 13 points and eight rebounds and Alan Anderson scored 11 for the Spartans. Penn State lost its 22nd straight Big Ten road game to Wisconsin 68-45 Wednesday. Jan Jagla scored 16 points and Marlon Smith added 15, Jagla was 7-of-13 from the field but the rest of the Nittany Lions were a combined 11-of-36. Michigan State crushed the Nittany 76-58 in the first meeting and not too much has changed, Jagla will score a few more.

5 Units Wake Forest +2 (SU WINNER 91-63) +5.00 UNITS

Wake Forest (18-6 SU, 12-11 ATS) is having a nice run late in the year after beating Florida State in OT, 90-87 SU. That makes five straight victories for the Demon Deacons. This is definitely a nice end of the year push towards March Madness. Wake now travels to Maryland. In their first game, Wake got by Maryland at Home in a high scoring affair, 93-85 SU. In that game, Wake’s big man, Eric Williams (13 ppg, 6 rpg) only had 7 points and 3 boards. Yet, Wake still managed to out-rebound the Turtles 37-26. Maryland (14-10 SU, 10-11 ATS) is coming off a smashing of Clemson, 70-49 SU. The Terps are in desperate need of a big win and this is the perfect scenario. Plus, Maryland now out-rebounds Wake by 4 boards a game (39 – 35 rpg), much improved since their first contest. Maryland is weaker than usual this year, but are very dangerous at Home (11-4 SU). Wake is a little due for a bad outing after 5 big wins, 4 of which were against strong teams.

5 Units Memphis U +7 (WON 60-66) +5.05 UNITS

Former Boston-area coaches Rick Pitino and John Calipari square off in this Conference USA duel! Sean Banks had his second straight big game as the 22nd-ranked Memphis Tigers (R: 6-4 SU, 5-5 ATS) extended their winning streak to 11 games with a 74-56 C-USA victory over Southern Mississippi this week. Banks scored 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting. He was coming off a 24-point effort in Saturday's 73-66 victory over Alabama-Birmingham that lifted the Tigers into the rankings. Antonio Burks, who battled foul trouble, finished with 15 points and Anthony Rice added 12 for Memphis, which shot 46 percent (28-of-61) and held a 37-30 rebounding advantage. Louisville (H: 12-3 SU, 6-6 ATS) continues to tumble, losing their sixth in seven games when they fell to DePaul 60-58 at midweek. Francisco Garcia scored 19 points, but committed five turnovers for Louisville (17-7, 7-6), which shot 37.5 percent (18-of-48), the eighth time in nine games they've been under 40 percent. Memphis has won 11 in a row and has a 62-58 win over Louisville in their first meeting. Louisville has Garcia and a four game losing streak. The numbers speak.

More to follow later,

7 Units Colorado -4.5 (WON 76-70) +7.00 UNITS

(16-8) Colorado (Road: 5-5 SU, 6-3 ATS) is on a Rocky Mountain high following this week's 94-87 overtime win over Oklahoma. Antoine McGee scored seven of 10 points in overtime and David Harrison had 21 points and 15 rebounds. Blair Wilson had 18 points and Michael Morandais added 14 as Colorado won their third straight. Colorado shoots 46% from the field, while poor Texas A&M allows opponents to shoot 48%! Winless in conference play, Texas A&M lost to a bad Baylor team 67-61 on Wednesday. Antoine Wright led the Aggies with 18 points. The last two home games of the season could afford Texas A&M a chance to snap its winless run. But the Buffaloes are coming off another good win and this is an opportunity for them to move up for the tournament in this Big 12 shootout. By they way, last year Colorado beat A&M 98-83!!!

5 Units Buffalo +7 SU WINNER 87-73 +5.00 UNITS

A MAC battle and it might be a close game. Buffalo has really improved this season. Buffalo (13-11 SU, 12-9 ATS) is playing well, winning eight of 10 games (8-2 ATS run). Buffalo won five of those games as +7, +1, +9, +3 and +4 dogs, and they are off an 82-66 rout of Kent State as a +4 home dog. Talk about getting no respect! Buffalo has two offensive guns in junior point guard Turner Battle (14 ppg, 3.9 apg) and 6'-10”, 250-lb freshman Yassin Idbihi (10 ppg, 6 rpg), and they've been getting good play of late from 6’-6” sophomore Mario Jordan and 6’-6” junior Daniel Gilbert. Buffalo is an impressive 6-6 SU/7-3 ATS on the road where they score and allow 74 ppg. The Miami of Ohio Redhawks (15-9 SU, 10-11 ATS) have good balance with a Big Three of 6’-5” senior Julius Johnson (15 points per game, 38% FGs) and 6’-5” junior Danny Horace (9 ppg, 5.5 rpg) up front, while 6’-2” senior Chester Mason (10 ppg, 7.7 rpg) runs the backcourt. Miami is 10-3 SU/5-6 ATS at home where they play tough 'D', outscoring opponents by a 64-60 average. on January 7, Miami won 72-62 at Buffalo, but this one could be closer.

7 Units Northern Iowa -2 (LOST 48-47) -7.49 UNITS

A good spot for the visitors. Indiana State is riding a 10-game losing streak, and they are off a tough loss at home, blowing a double-digit second half lead in a 61-60 late collapse to Bradley. Now they have to face a very strong Northern Iowa team that is on a 5-1 SU run. The Northern Iowa Panthers (16-9 SU, 14-9 ATS) have a strong front line behind 6’-6” senior C David Gruber (12 ppg, 7 rpg) and 6’-7”, 240-lb senior Matt Schneiderman (11 ppg, 7 rpg). They also have three-point specialist 6’-3” sophomore Ben Jacobson (13 ppg) in the backcourt. Northern Iowa averages 66 ppg on the road where they are 4-6 SU/7-3 ATS. Indiana State likes to slow things down, as the Sycamores shoot 41% from the field averaging 57.8 ppg. Indiana State (8-17) is just 6-8 SU, 5-8 ATS at home where they are getting outscored by a 63-60 average. Indiana State has only one double-digit scorer in 6'-5" sophomore G Damian Moss (15 ppg), and he teams with 6'-7" junior Amani Daanish, who works the glass. On Feb. 7, Northern Iowa beat Indiana State 68-64 at home as a 10-point favorite, but they should win by more than that here.

20 Units Oklahoma St -15 (LOST 72-65) -21.40 UNITS

Oklahoma State's (R: 6-3 SU, 5-4 ATS) eleven game winning streak went by the boards this week when they lost in double overtime to Missouri 93-92. John Lucas scored 30 points and Tony Allen added 24 and nine rebounds for the Cowboys (21-3, 11-2). The Tigers appeared to have the game in hand in regulation, but the Cowboys used an 11-2 run over the final five minutes, tying the contest at 73-73. Baylor (R: 6-9 SU, 5-3 ATS) ended a four game losing streak when they defeated Texas A&M 67-60 this week. Harvey Thomas led the Bears with 17 points and Terrance Thomas scored 12. Plenty of motivation for the Cowboys and Baylor is undermanned against a league leader. Back on Feb 14, Oklahoma State ripped Baylor, 91-58 and covered as a 25-point favorite!!!

5 Units Stanford -13.5 (WON 76-55) +5.00 UNITS

Oregon (R: 4-5 SU, 5-4 ATS) lost their third straight to California 85-81 in overtime on Thursday. Luke Jackson had 18 points and eight rebounds to lead the Ducks (12-10, 7-8) but scored only seven points after halftime. Oregon lost for the third time in five games. Andre Joseph and Brooks finished with 16 points while Ian Crosswhite added 17 for the Ducks. Stanford logged a school-record 24th straight victory over Oregon State Thursday 73-47. "Defensively, those guys were everywhere," Oregon State guard Chris Stephens said. "They were in all of our passing lanes, they blocked our shots, they disrupted us in transition." The Cardinal isn't even at full strength, as senior forward Justin Davis had an MRI on his injured left knee Thursday and is expected to miss two more weeks for the Cardinal. Stanford struggled to win the first meeting 83-80 but this time the undefeated Cardinal are at home which should make life easier.

7 Units South Carolina -7.5 (WON 63-47) +7.00 UNITS

In case anyone has not noticed, South Carolina has dropped 5 out of their last 7 games after getting thumped again by Florida, 69-58. South Carolina (20-7 SU, 11-9 ATS) is not impressing the wizards of selection with this late season swoon. South Carolina returns Home to face Georgia 14-10 SU). After beating Tennessee the other night, 71-60 SU, Georgia has made 3 in a row at Home in the SEC East. Unfortunately, Georgia now has to return to the Road where they are just 1-7 SU this season. Georgia is only averaging 59 points a game on the Road, which is exactly what South Carolina is allowing at Home (13-2 SU at Home). In their first clash, South Carolina had a very easy time of it, waxing Georgia, 84-63 SU. South Carolina held Georgia to just 39% shooting in their own gym. They also out-rebounded the Bulldogs, 33-21. Carlos Powell (13 ppg, 6 rpg) had 13 in the first game and should get at least that in this one.
