5 Units New England Patriots -9 -110

Interesting game, as Drew Bledsoe returns to New England and the Pats have a chance to avenge an opening day embarrassment, losing 31-0 at Buffalo. There likely won't be a lot of scoring, as Buffalo is 13-2 UNDER the total scoring and allowing 16 ppg. QB Drew Bledsoe finished 12-of-24 for 114 yards passing last week in a 20-3 loss to Miami, the eighth time this season he's failed to break 200. And that was at home, so he's not likely to do much better against the Patriots great defense, which picked off five Chad Pennington passes last week. Buffalo has nothing to play for, while the Pats (13-2 SU, 12-2-1 ATS) can clinch home field through the playoffs. Since losing to Buffalo, New England is 12-1-1 ATS!!! This defense has been incredible at home, allowing 6, 3, 0, 0 and 13 points the last five home games.

5 Units Seattle Seahawks +2.5 +102

Good news and bad news for the Seahawks this week. A win and they're in, lose (R: 1-6 SU, 2-4 ATS) and your out....maybe. The Seahawks (9-6 SU) capped a perfect 8-0 record at home and are looking for the final NFC wild card spot. RB Shaun Alexander rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 carries in the first half when the Seahawks built an 18-point lead en route to a 28-10 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. QB Matt Hasselbeck (17-of-24 passes for 179 yards) and Trent Dilfer each threw a touchdown pass and the Seahawks harrassed Arizona's Josh McCown, sacking him eight times. The only concern for this game is that Seattle QB Hasselbeck (sprained ankle) is questionable, though Dilfer is a capable backup. The 49ers come off an exciting 31-28 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in overtime when they picked off a deflected Donovan McNabb pass on the first play of overtime to set up Todd Peterson's 22-yard field goal. The Seahawks won the first meeting this year 20-19 in Seattle sending San Fran (H: 6-1 SU, 5-2 ATS) into a 2-4 SU spin. After stopping the Eagles in overtime, the Niners can finish the season at .500 with a follow-up home win here. To make matters a little tougher, WR Terrell Owens is lost after suffering a broken collarbone. The Seahawks road mark raises some questions but they will have more than ample motivation to take care of business!!!

5 Units Washington Redskins +8 -108

5 Units Washington Redskins OVER 41.5 -103

The Eagles (11-4) can clinch their third consecutive NFC East title and secure a first-round bye with a victory over Washington. However, if they lose and Dallas (10-5) beats New Orleans, the Cowboys win the division. To get the No. 1 seed, Philadelphia needs to beat the Redskins and have St. Louis (12-3) lose at Detroit. And they blew it last week when QB Donovan McNabb was intercepted on the first play of overtime as the San Franciso 49ers topped Philadelphia 31-28. The Eagles continued to struggle defensively, allowing 417 total yards and have allowed a 100-yard rusher in six of its last seven games. To make matters worse, Carlos Emmons - the Eagles' best linebacker - suffered a broken left fibula. The Redskins, who lost for the fifth time in their last six games, fell to the Bears 27-24 as QB Tim Hasselbeck completed 16-of-25 for 209 yards and a pair of TDs. The Eagles (6-1 SU/ATS on the road, 10-5 ATS overall) defeated the Redskins 27-25 in meeting number one this year in Philly. Look for a high scoring game, as the Skins have allowed 27 points in each of the last two games and coach Steve Spurrier is likely to throw in a ton of trick plays. Also, Philly has gone 5 straight games OVER the total!!!

Yesterday when 2-2, winning the fist two selections and giving it back in the night action. Here are todays selections, let me know what you think?

10 Units Cincinnati Bengals -9 +107

Cleveland (4-11 SU, 5-10 ATS) looked lost in a 35-0 home defeat to Baltimore last week, a team that had much more to play for. The Browns have had a strange season, playing well when they should get blown out, and playing awful just when you think they may have turned things around. Look at their last four road games: They got blown out 41-20 by KC and 34-7 at Seattle, yet lost 9-3 at New England and nearly won at Denver, losing 23-20 in OT (their last road game). Still, the last five games overall Cleveland's offense has averaged just 11 ppg. They won't score much against Cincy's tough 'D' under first year coach Marvin Lewis. The Bengals are very competitive at home (5-2 SU/4-2-1 ATS) where they average 25.7 points pg. This is only Cincy's second home game over the last 6 games, which is quite a road stretch. Look for Jon Kitna and a very good Cincy offense to bounce back big in front of the home fans (who they haven't seen much of lately) as they are still alive for a postseason spot. They also won 21-14 at Cleveland as a +4 dog on Sept. 28.

10 Units Kansas City Chiefs -7.5 -102

The Bears are not that bad after all, at 7-8. They've been playing better the second half of the season, but this is a very bad spot. Chicago is 1-6 on the road (2-5 against the spread) where they get outscored by a 24-14 average. And they'd better score more than 14, as Kansas City will score much more than that! The Chiefs (12-3 SU, 9-6 ATS) won't be in a pleasant mood after an embarrassing 45-20 loss at Minnesota. They suffered a 45-27 loss at Denver on Dec. 7, then came home the next week and flattened Detroit, 45-17. Some Chiefs players had to be separated after shouting at each in the locker room after last week's loss. Coach Dick Vermeil will have these guys on the same page for this game and KC is 7-0 SU/5-2 ATS at home where they outscore teams by a 34-17 average. And with playoff seedings still up in the air, it helps KC if they win, so there's no reason for a letdown in front of the wild, home fans!!!

5 Units St Louis Rams -12.5 +100

The Rams are zeroed in on home-field throughout the playoffs with a win over Detroit. Defense has become the name of the game for the Rams who easily handled the Cincinnati Bengals 27-10 last week. The Rams (12-3 SU, 9-5 ATS; R: 4-3 SU, 3-4 ATS) clinched a first-round playoff bye and moved ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles in the race for home-field. Aginst Cincinnati, QB Marc Bulger completed 24-of-38 passes for 229 yards. The Lions set an NFL record with their 24th straight road loss Sunday, falling to Carolina 20-14, but they're not bad at home (4-3 SU, ATS). Detroit's offense was inept last week managing just 106 total yards on 41 plays. QB Joey Harrington was benched on Detroit's fifth series after completing just 3-of-8 passes for 17 yards. QB Mike McMahon was no better, connecting on only 4-of-11 tosses for 36 yards. The Lions don't appear to have much going right now, and if the Rams go to their backup QB this week, they have a two-time MVP named Kurt Warner!!!

5 Units Atlanta Falcons -2.5 -105

The Jaguars (R: 0-7 SU, 3-3 ATS), who've won three of their last four, finish up a frustrating season. They survived last week, 20-19 over the Saints, despite allowing New Orleans a TD on a lateral-filled wild score on the last play before they missed the extra point! RB Fred Taylor rushed for 194 yards and Byron Leftwich completed an efficient 9 of 17 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. The Jags will live and die with the run with Taylor and a run defense which has given up just 70 ypg in the last seven. Atlanta knocked off the defending champs, Tampa Bay, 30-28, officially ending the Bucs playoff hopes. The Falcons (Home: 1-6 SU, ATS) barely managed 267 yards total offense as the Bucs stormed back from a 30-7 deficit. QB Michael Vick threw for two scores and the defense picked four interceptions for the win. The Jags road record speaks for itself and the Falcons have Michael Vick preparing for next year. Jacksonville has yet to win a road game and they are 0-2 SU/ATS in Dome, losing at Indy (23-13) and at Houston (24-20).

5 Units New York Jets OVER 37.5 -104

The Jets' offense has scored just 6, 6 and 16 points the last three games. And New York is 2-5 SU/1-4-1 ATS on the road where they give up 22 points per game. Neither team has anything to play for here, and the Jets' defense has been awful all season against the run, allowing 147.5 yards rushing per game! Last week New England didn't have a 100-yard rusher all season, but the Jets broke that run by allowing RB Antoine Smith 121 yards on 18 carries! What will Ricky Williams do? The Dolphins are out of the playoffs despite a 9-6 record. They are just 3-4 SU/1-6 ATS at home and they are much better when the offense is balanced. That will happen this week against a poor New York defense. The Jets won't be able to stop Williams, making QB Jay Fielder that much more effective, and will get an easy win at home in a high scoring battle that will likely be Dave Wannstedt's finale.

5 Units Denver Broncos +10 -105

The season is far from over for these two playoff bound teams. Another long road trip for Denver, but they did fine last week as a +6 road dog. The Broncos (R: 4-3 SU, 5-2 ATS) come off one of their best wins of the season, a dazzling 31-17 win over the high scoring Colts at the RCA Dome. Jake Plummer seems to be getting stronger as the season winds down, following a great performance against Kansas City with another against the Colts, completing just 14 passes, but for 238 yards and a TD. With Clinton Portis on the sidelines, rookie Quentin Griffin showed Portis-like moves on the fast turf. Denver (on a 5-1 SU/4-2 ATS run) looks very tough, with a defense that is allowing just 18 points, 89 yards rushing and 181 yards passing per game! Green Bay is also on a roll, going 5-1 SU/ATS the last six weeks. A day after the death of his father, Brett Favre passed for 399 yards and four touchdowns leading the Packers (H: 4-3 SU, ATS) to a 41-7 victory over the Oakland Raiders Monday night. The win kept them in a tie with Minnesota atop the NFC North. The Packers offense certainly is getting the job done averaging over 150 yards per game on the ground and 209 yards in the air. Favre has completd 65% of his passes on the season. At home they have outscored opponents 28-20!!! Expect another emotional game from the Packers and for the defense to put pressure on the Broncos in a close game on Lambeau's frozen tundra.
