I don't like to gamble. I do like to play games where I have an advantage. My favorite game is casino blackjack, but I like the accessibility and convenience of the Internet, so I have been playing online poker. I just can't seem to play a winning game at poker, so I am starting to look at sports betting as another possible advantage play. I hope to learn from this site if it is worthwhile to pursue. If some of you are doing well I would like to hear about it (in a general sense, not looking for information that is too personal) and perhaps some tips to start the learning curve. Looking forward to "meeting" everyone.
Hey ASAP. You'll learn alot when it comes to sports betting on this forum. It's one of the best. Hopefully you'll know it's not "easy" to win betting on sports. Some will say certain sports are easier to win (baseball, college basketball). If so, everyone would be doing it. You have to be disciplined and bet within your limits. You'll see that alot on this board. Also you have to resist the temptation to chase. If you don't know what chasing is it's making a large bet after a day when you've lost almost every bet. Usually you make this bet when you're just frustrated and you bet more than you should. Sometimes you'll win but most of the times you won't and you get yourself into a hole.

At blackjack I'm pretty good about not chasing (it's all one long session, right?) At poker, I think I must "tilt" occasionally which may be one of my problems. I've just got to figure out a starting point for sports betting. I think I want to do online betting and take advantage of bonuses.

As you can see, I'm also new here, but from what I've found and seen, this is a great forum for what you're looking for.
If baseball is your forte, though, watch out for bucsfan ... he's been kicking major a$$ these last couple years in baseball.
