This was the simulation play for tonight.
ST.LOUIS 7, DETROIT 4
Once again Rick Porcello had problems with a National League lineup. He struggled against both the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs on the road in his last two starts and this was no different against one of the top hitting teams in Major League Baseball. Porcello lasted only 5.0 innings in this start before being chased and allowing 6 Earned Runs. Jake Westbrook had a decent outing and handled the big bats of the Tigers and even though they hit two Home Runs off Westbrook, the damage was minimal on the dingers and he lasted a decent 6.2 innings before letting his bullpen takeover. The bottom line is Rick Porcello has always been a good fade in Interleague play and the simulation calls for another bad outing. The Cardinals are the play.
