Been a pretty good week here for me. Looking to keep the streak alive tonight. I been looking forward to this game since Sunday.

Duke/UNC. I going all in tonight with these Blue Devils. They currently at -3.5. If the line were any higher I would be playing differently. Since the week started I been eyeing this game. I says, Basterd, I says to myself, if that line come out Duke -4 or better take Duke. If it come out Duke -9 or more take UNC (that would never happen). And I says to myself, anything in between, moneyline on Duke. Well it's better than -4 so I'm all on it.

This Duke team is one of the hottest teams in America. Since conference play they just been getting stronger and gaining confidence. Head to Head, I'll take the blue devils. The big 7 that they got will carry them far. Look at the PG position. Duhon vs Felton. Simply put, Senior vs Freshman. ADV: Duke. Then you got JJ Redick. Boy is nasty. If he gets hot, the whole Duke team is on a run. The scary part is, they don't even need Mr. Redick (ie Georgia Tech). They got Dockery back and he's started to come on strong. Plus, there's more pressure on the Tar Heels to win. New coach Williams has the winningest percentage in NCAA among active coaches but Coach K is used to this ACC madness. It's gonna be a fight. But with Duke's confidence and road experience they take home the victory and cover.

Duke -3.5

my bad. I could have sworn Felton was a Freshman. Well, not only am I poor, but stupid too.

I'm not taking anything away from UNC, especially at home. Chapel Hell is tough place to play for any team. UNC is stronger and more experienced than they've been in years. They can definetly score points. Jackie Manuel is solid defender and rebounder, could cause problems if matched up against Redick. McCants can beat his opponent so many different ways. And Williams, well, he's Jawad. I just worry about Jawad Williams' intensity on the defensive end.

I just use the same thinking in this game as all my others. UNC beat Georgia Tech, yes. But so did Duke; difference being Duke won away. Duke also beat Maryland at Maryland, unlike UNC, and Maryland is a team many say is strong at home. I just like the way these Blue Devils carry themselves. You can just see a difference from last years squad. They believe in the system, play solid defense, rebound, and know they are suppose to win.

These are two great teams, GREAT coaches, and great fans. There will be plenty of Dukies there to support (remember its only a 12 mile drive from Durham). It's going to be a great game to watch and definetly not for the faint of heart if placing a bet on it. Don't know about you, but this is the game I've been waiting for since Dean Smith left.

This is what I'm afraid of. A lot of people like UNC, especially against Duke. Maybe its Dean Smith, maybe its Jordan, or maybe its the Carolina blue. I don't know. I think gambling with your heart and not the head can get you in trouble. I've learned to stop doing that and its been working. Maybe that's why I don't have a favorite team anymore in sports.

Not no normal home advantage....yup I reckon I go with the better team...Duke!

Kick back with some biscuts-n-mustard and watch Duke win by ten.

****in great game, man! I don't really care that I lost my money when it was like that. I did take moneyline last minute to make up about 65% of my losse just in case, and that was a huge call for me. McCants killed Duke tonight, especially in the clutch, and Jackie Manuel did as I said and shut down Mr. Redick. Great game, I can't say that enough. It's amazing but these are only 18-22 year old kids. Looking forward to the game at Durham.

Record for the week: 5-2-1

Gonna take tomorrow off to let all my emotions out and get a clear head to make picks so I can build my bankroll.

You may want to check that betting with your heart instead of with your head thing. For one, just because alot to people was on NC like you mentioned , doesnt mean that they were betting with their hearts instead of their heads. I for one dont care at all about the so called Duke/NC rival and what not. I care more about following a team with the situational setup and advantages on their side. In this one, that side was NC. Remember sometimes in this type of game, you need to throw out all the stats , records, and whatnot. And pay more attention to who is at home and the line. This one was clearly a play of NC, as Chapel Hill is a very tough place to play. NC knocked off then #1 Uconn here. This one was mainly, like the Memphis game the other night agaisnt Louisville. The home Court Advantage and getting points on top of being at home is just to strong to buck. This has been a very successful situation that has proven to be a Super Solid Winning situation to follow. So to help you out you Poor Bastard, lol, try not to assume that because alot of people are on one team, it automatically means that they are betting with their hearts and not heads. You will be able to bank alot more, if you remember to do this. IMO. GL on you on continuing winning. Aloha CC.

Aloha CC! I know what your saying. The reason I mentioned that was because, from peronal experience, people hate Duke. A lot of times in these rivalries people tend to sway more towards one side because they get caught up in the tradition. I tried not to. I looked at this season and saw what UNC did and Duke. Yes, UNC is strong at home. Yes UNC beat UCONN. However, Georgia Tech won at Chapel Hll. My logic was this. I don't think UCONN is that great of a team, meaning they don't play up to their potential. They should be blowing a lot of teams out but they seem to let a lot of teams stick around. Secondly, that game was early in the season when teams are still trying to get all the "kinks" out. Thirdly, in my humble opinion, Duke is a superior team. They proven to me that the can win anywhere and I truly felt they would win, and win by at least 5. Roy williams I give a lot of credit to. He went in at halftime and made a few adjustments and rallied the troops. Duke almost knocked the crowd factor out. Those tar heel fans are great.

CC, I've been watching your picks, and you are good. I don't want you to think I was calling you out by what I said. Shit, I wasn't calling anyone out. Just thought I'd say because I wanted people to be sure they were making the right play. I truly felt Duke was the play, I was wrong. But, that game was sick. Both teams deserve credit for a well played game.
