Reversing myself on USC.....

AZ +2--20*

Had 10* on Usc earlier in week, but am playing Az back, do really just a total of 10* on Az.

Dang it! Thought about doing the same thing myself, but I'm gonna stick with SCal...

Enjoy the game.

I'm having a hard time buying into the Zona bandwagon. I just can't bring myself to think that Zona has all of their cards lined up and ready to play with the big boys sort of the way Cal's kool-aide looks and tastes. Not quite ready for prime time but perhaps cut out to play some teams better than others... (for example the way RR seems to be able to confuse Oregon's defense as easily as he does.) It has happened before. You also gotta ask yourself what makes Soloman tick. He's due to be called out sooner or later by a defense that knows a thing or 2 about slowing down a RR spread option offense with a QB and some fancy footwork... which is how I see the Wldcats tonight. Depends on how well USC's DC Justin Forsette can get his mind wrapped around a defense that he has proven he can succeed in stopping better than any DC USC has had since Monte Kiffin proved how worthless he was defending it. It's too bad that Clancy Pendergast (Kiffins replacement) isn't around to show them how it's done. I still think that RR can have his problems defending a conventional pro-style offense that has a pretty decent QB.

I can't argue with you, Conan. Its a great situational spot for the Trojans too. I just had a couple friends who I respect tell me to buy out of Usc, so I followed their advice.

Thanks for stopping by, bud. I always enjoy reading your stuff.

Can't claim any credit for a game that ends the way that game ended alkimyst. I just figured that USC had too much rotten luck for as good a team as they seem to be to lose anymore. But I must admit that I would have liked to see the Cats get a win just the same.

errata... Justin Forsette's real name isn't Forsette... it's Justin Wilcox. Don't know why I say that. Just senility setting in I suppose.

Conan, that was a fun game to watch. Wish that Az had made the fg at the end, but you can't win them all.....

On to the next week.

Rough weekend for me last week. Continuing to bear the market in most spots, but that doesn't always translate to winners, as we all know.

1-4 last week/-38*.... pushing Az for the big play and also losing in gruesome fashion with the 15* on Wyoming late. Week could have turned out much better if I had waited fit better numbers in the USC/Az game. Alas I did not.

27-22 for the season.

+38.6* for the season.

Took some time off this week, so tread lightly if you're following this weekend. Didnt have the normal amount of time to look at things this week.

Here's hoping everyone has a prosperous week!!!

Well.... Fsu just never got started. I still think they are the much better team than ND. The Irish called a great game though. Prbly should have won it after Jimbo turned into Jim Tressel there at the end. Stunningly conservative......

Can't win them all. I'm upset with myself for getting off of Ole Miss and Marshall. Been playing both of them pretty steadily this year. Just thought Ole Miss was in a terrible spot today, and I completely overlooked how bad Tennessee is offensively.

Not much go be said about Tex AM. I really liked the number thst I got, but now I guess I know why they were so generous. Ha.... Just a complete misread

Nice to get back in the winner's circle overall.....

4-3 for the day... + .6*

31-25 on the season.... +39.2*

Have a nice weekend, everyone!

1-1 last week. Lots of points left on the field on that Hawaii tilt. Weird things always happen on the island though.

On to the next week.

32-26 for the season.

+38.2 units.

Western Michigan -6.5---120--20*
Asu -5.5--10*
Ark st -17--10*
Navy +15--10*
Cincy -6--10*

May add a couple more on Saturday. Basically fading some bad teams in a couple spots here. Really like the coach at Western. Hoping that Navy will hang with the Irish, who are in a tough letdown spot. Cincy should roll, and Ark st would have been a bigger play if I hadn't missed the opening number by so much.
