Alabama-Tennessee

I am an Alabama fan, but I like Tennessee for several reasons.

Injuries-Croyle is one more big hit away from being on the sideline.If he goes out, Avalos comes in and the game is over. Luke(WR) is questionable.Tennessee has no significant injuries and has had an extra week to prepare.

Depth-Alabama's stating D-line is forced to play the entire game.(The backup defensive ends weigh 239 and 216).Alabama is also thin at linebacker due to the absence of Wortham and Daniels. Tennessee's running game has struggled, but I expect it to get rolling in the second half as Alabama tires. Remember how Arkansas pounded the Tide in the second half.

Matchups-Tennessee has always had success throwing on Alabama. While Tennessee's receivers are not as big as in the past, Banks (6-3) and Brown(6-2) have a decided advantage over Alabama's undersized corners(Madison, 5-9 and Peprah, 5-11).Look for Tennessee to go over the top on the first play.

Coaching-I think Fulmer's coaching abilities are overrated, but he has had Alabama's number the last 8 years. While I hope Shula becomes a good head coach, he hasn't had enough time to implement his system.

I have bet double my usual wager on Tennessee for these reasons. Good luck to everyone this weekend.

You were right on about Shula. He has alot to learn. They run the ball up the middle 2 downs and a row with 1 yd to go for a first down then they call a timeout and the best play they come up with is to just throw the ball up for grabs like it 4th and goal. What a joke! This is the second time this idiot has cost me money this year(Arkansas game) but it will be the last. Anyway great call on the game

Some of the worst coaching and play calling I have seen this year. Shula and whoever calls the plays have no idea what they are doing. Ended the game with a stupid play call... a perfect ending to a horribly coached last 10 minutes of the game and each overtime. A 20 yard fade pattern on 4th and 2. There is a reason Bama sucks!

Probation scholarship reductions plus absolute ineptness coaching-wise will haunt Bama for the next 10 years.
I'm a big Tide fan, but I will be on the other side of just about every game until that joke of a coach Shula is fired.
Without him, the Bucs may have had another Super Bowl Championship in their belt notch, now he will manage to destroy one of college football's storied programs just because he is the son of a coaching legend.
