As there are few games this game is up for discussion.I have seen a lot of people talk about the loss of Earnest Shelton and how it will lead to an Alabama loss.Alabama leads the SEC in 3 point percentage 36.4 desite Shelton's 32.4 %.Shelton is not that good-he is simply shooting the ball more than anyone else.Losing Kennedy Winston or Chuck Davis would be far more hurtful to the Tide's chances.

The key to this game will be Emmitt Thomas.Thomas is a 6-4 guard who has been invisible the last two games, but is capable of lighting it up.He is a very good three point shooter-24 of 51(47%) and will get the opportunity to step up tonight.

Davidson left last game with a knee injury. All indications point to him starting.Over the last 5 years Alabama is 3rd in the SEC in home winning % behind Kentucky and Florida.I will play Bama if I play at all.

As for the Memphis game, the few that read my posts may remember my UAB play against South Florida a few days ago.I went to the game and can only say South Florida is the worst basketball team I have seen all season. They are down to essentially six players and will turn the ball over if pressured at all. They have an uncanny tendency to pick the dribble up early and get trapped at the time line.Lay the points-they will get beat by 30 or more.

LOW TIDE I CANT UNDERSTAND YOUR LOGIC HERE. FLORIDA LEADING THE SEC IN SCORING AT 80+. ALABAMA SCORING 73.(THIS IS WITH THEIR LEADING SCORER 16 POINTS PER GAME). I KNOW A LOT OF TIMES WHEN A TEAMS TOP PLAYER IS OUT THE REST OF THE TEAM STEPS IT UP A NOTCH, BUT I JUST CANT SEE IT HERE. FLORIDA IS LOOKING TO START A RUN AND THIS WOULD BE A GOOD SPOT. I HAVE THIS A BIG PLAY TONITE. JUST MY OPINION.

GOOD LUCK EVEN THOUGH WE MAY BE ON OPPOSITE SIDES.

I would fully expect Florida to average more points than most of their opponents-does that always translate into ATS wins?I was simply trying to put Shelton's injury in a different light.I agree that Florida seems to be the obvious play so everybody load up and get rich.I am Alabama fan and I believe they have a chance, but I recognize I am too close and will sit this one out.Good luck.

LT, You are correct about many things...Alabama is a tough place to play and I think Thomas will pick it up tonight...This a big game for them and these Florida teams are always hyped up and over-rated...Billy D and the nappy haired young boys should be in for a rude awakening...I couldn't throw down a lot on the Tide, being from where I am from and all, but giving up any points to Alabama at home is crazy...Wisconsin felt it earlier this year...Giving up 2 points and they got their game handed to them...

Coaching will play a big roll tonight at the end and I think the Alabama Defense will matter more than the Fla. Offense...

GL...Who really knows?
