Going into week four of the National Football League’s regular season and it is already becoming clear that fans betting on NFL teams such as the Cleveland Browns are better off wagering against the team. In week four the battle of Ohio 2010 edition will be in full as the Cleveland Browns face the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns and Bengals as many NFL betting fans are discovering, are two teams headed in opposite directions. Here is a preview of the upcoming game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns.

Over the first three weeks of the season, many fans and critics alike felt that these two teams would be sharing the basement of the ever difficult AFC North. The Bengals started out the season debuting the dynamic duo of Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco with a 38- 24 loss to the ever difficult New England Patriots. On the other hand, the Cleveland Browns under the guidance of new pivot Jake Delhomme were unable to shake off the losing mentality that has plagued the team since its return to the NFL in 1999, by losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With both teams starting the season with a loss, the critics already believed the Bengals would be a bust and the Browns would continue to stink.

Nevertheless, going into week four, the Cleveland Browns have lost three heart breaking games to start the season at no wins and three losses, while the Bengals have rebounded with two straight wins. Although the Browns have lost all three games to start the season, the experts still see a possible upset in this match, as the Bengals are only favored by three and a half points.

For fans betting on this game, you may want to consider two things before placing a bet on either team. Firstly, as we noted above, the Browns have lost three close games and may be turning a corner with the strong effort of the defense alongside a possible Jake Delhomme return. Secondly, although Carson Palmer has a second pass offensive option in Terrell Owens, the chemistry has been poor at best. Meaning to say, if the Browns were looking for an opponent to finally get their first win of the season over, it is likely to be the Bengals. Nevertheless, the Bengals offense is slowly building chemistry, and this may be Palmer’s biggest pass game of the season.
