bizarre problem. firefox and IE will not connect to google or yahoo when used as independent browsers. I can connect to both via the AOL interface using their version of IE.
problem started a few days ago.... appeared to resolve itself, and now the problem is back later the same day. if you use any search engine to ID, describe this problem, you will see all kinds of hits and threads with no clear explanation or solution. yet many many people have and are still experiencing it. I have run virus software and spybot...
my paranoid delusion is that microsoft update is sabatoging access to these sites in an untraceable way. it is fantastically annoying to be without acces to google and yahoo. i don't want to use MSN. FFFFFFFFF !!!!!!!!!
