New England's co-TE1 has already been targeted 18 times. Rob Gronkowski, who has drawn 13 targets of his own and scored three TDs, could be fantasy's No. 1 overall tight end while his teammate is sidelined. The Pats visit the Bills in Week 3.

The Boston Globe hasn't budged off their 1-2 week timetable on Hernandez even though CSN New England reported a 4-6 week outlook. The Patriots, of course, won't reveal anything. All owners can do is keep Hernandez stashed on their bench. The good news is that he wasn't using crutches or a brace Thursday.

It appears Hernandez has not yet been medically cleared to take the field. Regardless, the optimism suggests Hernandez will return sooner rather than later.

If that is indeed the case, then Hernandez is on track to play against the Jets this week. He averaged 4.5 catches and 76 yards against Rex Ryan's defense in two regular-season games last year, but will be a risky fantasy play coming off the injury.
