Greetings friends<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I’m a virgin . . . . . . RX poster, but long time pervert:hump: , I mean, voyeur of this damn fine forum. Firstly, much Kudos to The Shrink and his cohorts for providing timely and useful information (and site) to bettors (particularly neophytes like me) across the globe. In the faceless age of the internet, visiting The RX is almost like another home, if you know what I mean? You get the same bitching and moaning, but on the other hand, there is a lot of love to be had. Sounds just like home!

Anyway, down to the guts of the situation we go. Like I said, I’m new at this sports betting business and have found some great tips, etc here but I need more. Yes I have been told I’m greedy and hard to satisfy. I’m au fait with money management, rarely “exceed” 2% and even have separate BR’s for each sport I bet. I’m not by any means a sharp nor do I think I’m a square. I’m whatever is in between. The point to this rambling is that I want to know about power ratings. I understand them in principle but I want/need to know how to assign ratings to each team and what formulas to use, free downloads, web sites, etc. I hope one of you pointy headed-types will be able to ‘point’ me in the right direction. I currently ‘cap Rugby and Rugby League and over the past 2 seasons have been weighing in at 54% and 58% respectively using mainly fundamental and situational ‘capping. I want to ‘cap NFL this season and realise there is a lot to it. The stats and so on aren’t a problem, they are easily attainable but I notice that power ratings are everywhere especially with football (NFL and College). How much do power ratings help in “predicting outcomes” or are they just another analytical tool?

Hope the above makes sense to someone and they can give me an assist.

Cheers

PS Special thanks to Winning Systems and Bucsfan. Between the 2 of you my Bball BR is rocking!:suomi:

oh lord this will be interesting.welcome to the rx dr rubberfunk. you may want to pose the power rating question in the nfl forum. its far too cerebral to ask in here.or in the offshore. the rx is full of professors who can help or teach anyone anything thats asked. in my opinion i love power ratings. they are a road map of where a game could go if all things remain equal. the games have to be played on the field but for the most part the ratings have proven themselves to me and my bankroll. good luck and pose this elsewhere youll get many different replys but they are my main tool in any sport i cap.:103631605 ~RG
