Correct...

and a piccolo is still code for a "skin flute"...:nohead:

Actually not correct.

The "word" is layman, not lay man.

The latter would be more appropriate if used in a sentence like, "PICCOLO really, really could use a good Lay, man."

It's going to be a long eight years if you choose to remain fixated on an Imaginary piece of legislation

The real FOCA - as currently pending in the US House - makes absolutely no mention of "age" and it specifically allows for states to make the abortion of viable third term fetuses a criminal act.

Bardude, if they prevent States from enacting their own legislation, the issues I raise come into play. Not because of wording within the Act, but because of the effect the Act will have on State laws.

I doubt this Act will be debated for the next eight years.

Layman

This article is about non-experts. For non-clergy, see Laity.
Look up Layman in
Wiktionary, the free dictionary. The term "layman" originated from the use of the term laity, but over the centuries, changed definition to mean a person who is a non-expert in a given field of knowledge.

The concept of describing something in layman’s terms has come into wide use in the English speaking world. To put something in layman’s terms is to describe a complex or technical issue using words and terms that the average individual (someone without professional training in the subject area) can understand, so that they may comprehend the issue to some degree. An explicitly gender-neutral version of the word is layperson.

Stevens' loss was another slap for Republicans in a year that has seen the party lose control of the White House, as well as seats in the House and Senate. It also moves Democrats one step closer to the 60 votes needed to overcome filibusters in the Senate. Democrats now hold 58 seats, when two independents who align with Democrats are included, with undecided races in Minnesota and Georgia where two Republicans are trying to hang onto their seats.

Minnesota is a done deal as well...Franken will win the recount.

Dems have no problem cheating...none whatsover. The magical votes found in election officials car trunks keep magically pouring in.

Good god, why was anyone even voting for him in the first place?! Both McCain and Obama said he should respectfully step down. 7 felonys or whatever it is?! It just shows how dumb people are.

Never said it was A-OK.

It's just that you tend to play both sides and state the obvious over and over and over.

Stevens and Franken or Hastings or Barry or Rangel or Murtha

Well, at least one party votes them out, even at the risk of a filibuster proof Senate
