Split last night and have a 3-1 start This Week.
21-26-1 YTD.
Starting out w/ a few plays:
Boston College (+12')
BC has won 14 in a row ATS in conference HGs. The visitor is 1-8 ATS in ths series.
BC has covered their L5 as a Home Dog and Miami is 1-6 ATS on the road versus conference teams.
BC is also 9-0-1 ATS w/ revenge off a win and cover and 10-1 ATS at home in revenge games.
I think BC's solid running game with Derrick Knight (470 yards in 3 games) will keep this close. Miami is allowing 4.76 pards per carry.
Central Florida (+6)
Syracuse got a very fortunate win vs UCF LY when they were outgained by 143 yards. Ryan Schneider had 440 yards through the air on the Orange LY and Syracuse gave up 451 total yards LW to Louisville. By the way, that was the lowest yards allowed in 6 games.
Yeah, UCF got a scare at home from a Div 1-aa team (Florida Atlantic), but I think that's played too much into the line.
Syracuse is 0-9-1 ATS off a SU favorite loss.
East Carolina (+20)
Yes, they've only scored 13 points in 3 games, but they played better in Miami LW. Plus, Wake is off a tough home loss vs Purdue. Everyone is expecting blowout here. However, this is an interstate rivalry and this one always is close.
Wake Forest is 2-10 ATS as a DD favorite since 1984.
Wake has an atrocious pass defense (#113 in the country) and that could provide a backdoor opportunity.
Tennessee (+3')
I think this is a good matchup for the Vols here. They played Marshall 2 weeks ago and the Herd run the same offense that the Gators do.
Tennessee also has the better defense here and revenge on their side. Plus, I can't back Zook in very many big games yet.
UTEP (+37')
OK, this one doesn't make sense here b/c UTEP might be the worst team in the nation and U of L is a much better team than expected. However, they are coming off a big road win at Syracuse and they are coming home for their opener against a horrible club.
However, Gary Nord (UTEP HC) spent 14 years as a U of L assistant and his brother Greg is a current assistant there. Bobby Petrino (U of L HC) and Gary Nord are very close friends. I think the Cards will take it easy today.
Miami-Ohio (+6')
The RedHawks are 6-1 ATS away off a win and 6-1-1 ATS as a dog of 6.5 or less.
I think the Rams are looking ahead to their opener against conference rival Utah.
UCLA (+19')
UCLA has a top 10 defense and OU is a little banged-up on that side of the ball.
This is a lot of points to lay to a good defensive team. Plus, OU has a tendency to show inconsistency on offense.
UCLA is 7-1 ATS their L8 vs non-conference. OU is 3-10 ATS as HFs off BB wins and are 7-22 ATS off a home non-conference game.
Oregon (+8)
Michigan is 10-18 ATS as a FAV of 9.5 or less and are 4-16 ATS as a RF their L20 under Carr.
The Wolverines are also 3-11-1 ATS off BB covers and 0-10-1 ATS on the road versus an opponent off a win and cover.
Michigan is 1-12 ATS as FAVs in their 1st road game.
New Mexico (+16)
Big-time sandwich game for the Cougars here. They are 1-4 ATS before Oregon. Wazzu is 3-6 ATS their L9 versus non-conference.
Georgia (+1')
This line just looks too small here. LSU is
4-10 ATS at home off BB wins and 1-4 ATS as favs in conference home openers.
Georgia is a deep team that won tough games in Clemson and at home versus South Carolina with a lot of injured players and they can do it again today.
Arizona State (+8)
ASU comes off a mediocre win and Iowa with a big road rivalry win LW.
LW's final score in Ames was deceiving since Iowa scored a lot on short fields and had only 10 total 1st Downs LW.
This should be a high-scoring game and that favors ASU.
Stanford (+7)
Let down game for BYU. Plus, Stanford comes off a bye week.
Louisiana Tech (+10)
Fresno is not usually a good HF. They are also 0-4 ATS off a DD loss and 2-7 ATS off a loss. Fresno whipped LT in Ruston LY. I expect them to gain revenge here.
Missouri (-21)
I had to take at least one favorite today.
MTSU is playing their 3rd straight road game. Mizzou won't look ahead to Kansas since they are 8-3 ATS before playing KU.
MTSU has allowed 474 yds their L2 weeks.
North Texas (+21)
A letdown spot here for Arkansas and a game with Alabama on deck.
Added Stanford at 4 PM CT.
Added La Tech at 9:55 ET.
