A lotta people did say that they thought it was a plane until the object got up real close and they realized it was a missile....this is what happened at the Pentagon...a lot of missiles can look like small planes...from a distance...but on television it would have been obvious....you can see the missile sticking out the side of the building when they fade to black....

I used to watch grandad 1 and his WW1 mates drinking ale and wonder why they were so relatively happy with such mediocre pastimes, or were they just easily satisfied?

So I'm currently working on the beer approach to life, and I have no complaints so far.

Eek, it's because they spent most of their time doing stuff they hate, so in their time off they're that much more jovial.
When I worked 50 hours a week it was the same way with me. If you saw me on Saturday night, you'd be thinkin' what a happy guy. I was only happy because it wasn't Monday.
Now that I've cut down my hours I'm constantly in neutral mode. At a party I'd seem pretty down because I don't play-act, but doing mundane things I seem happy compared to the others who seem frustrated, bored, etc.
It's a bit boring this way, but still better than the alternative, ie. spending most of your time doing demeaning stuff that you hate.
I think the beer approach is great, but I'd do a little Ramadan every year to clean out the toxins. More total beer drinking that way. Wouldn't want to see your liver go out prematurely.
