A buddy of mine offered me a challenge that i cannot beat this type of SNG and we made a bet for 100 of them that I can show a profit in them. I will post final hand and placing each time for easier tracking between the both of us.

10th loses money????? dam thats rough. ive followed a few guys talking about these on another site...they seem to do ok but if u have to have a top 5 finish damn near every other game to make a profit it sounds pretty tough.....i may try 1 tonight see how they are.....good luck

I expect that a 20-table SnG will be about as high-variance as MTTs, which is really high. Good luck on your wager; expect a real roller coaster. One hundred games isn't "the long run" by any means, so even if you are a solid winning player, whether you win or lose the bet won't prove anything about your skill (in case that was what your friend was questioning). I'd have tried to talk him into playing in 100 himself and then deciding the wager based on a comparison of the results between the two of you.

I know that it's no consolation, but I would have gone broke on that last one, too. Again, good luck. I'll watch with interest.

I would have FOLDED KK 95% of the time in that hand, unless the opponent had proven in previous hands to be totally wild which is possible given the hand he called your pre-flop bet with.

However, the most common loose calls in the sit and go's I play in are:

1. Ax some fish play any ace any time even against a raise.
2. suited hands such as KTs down to K5, QT down to Q5.

Your initial post flop bet was one I would have made, but to say 1200 not all-in, to see where I stood. Against a lot of fish on that flop you are drawing to the flush against an ace. If the fish then puts you all in 19 time out of 20 you can safely lay down the hand and wait for a better spot, and the 20th time ain't worth losing any sleep over.

my approach

In $20 sit and go's I am always either the best or second best player at the table, I reckon you must be in this category or near it.

Unless I am short of chips I will NEVER go all-in on what might be a 50-50 shot against a fish. It might well be the only chance the fish is going to get of winning all my chips.

I don't worry about getting short stacked. I have won these things from being lower than 300 chips in a 1,500 10 player sit n go several times. In fact I prefer to build up slowly as opponents then underestimate me and by the time they've realised I am a good card reader at that level it is too late, I have their chips!

this is a 20 table sit and go....so not really the usual one table one......with KK there the player in the BB was very solid and with me having the K of clubs....the BB was a solid player and the only way he can call me is if he flopped the flush which he did

these tourneys are a lot different then the one table SNGs

You played that hand correctly in my opinion Bozzi. You had the nut flush draw also. Even if he did flop the flush you still had some outs.
