Over final 147 games in 2018 the TB Rays had the third best record in all of MLB (87-60). From late May thru the final week of September they had third best ERA in all of MLB.

They could well have even better pitching this season and their offensive OBP should rise as well, meaning they are a decent shot to replicate the 87 wins within 147 games and still have 15 more games remaining

Last year is history, teams change every year,to me i just don't see enough offense here and after Snell and Morton their pitching is questionable.I'm not to familiar with Honeywell and Yarbough as starting pitchers, but the other starter Glasnow sucks. He just might turn into a reliever quickly. They also play in a very tough division,so i see them at .500 or a little less.

Charlie Morton helped the Tampa Bay Rays to a 4-2 win over former team the Houston Astros in MLB action on Friday.

Glasnow 2-0

Tyler Glasnow would go 6.0 IP with 2 H, 1 BB, 0 R, and a career high 11 strikeouts. Only 85 pitches thrown, with 54 of those being thrown for strikes.

The TB Rays have the best record in MLB since the AllStar break of 2018

97-65 past 162

2nd best ERA in MLB since last June 1

Best pitching staff in all of baseball....not just for the first 13 games of 2019 but for the entire season ahead

They are currently a stunning 14th seed (+2800) at 5dimes to win World Series

The Rays' OBP and slugging will both be significantly higher than 2018 when they won 87 of their last 147

There is a presumption that the RedSox and Yankees are *sure things* to make playoffs, thus pushing Rays to dreams of 2nd wild card.

The Yankees have at most four major league bats in their lineup when Stanton returns and just three major league starting pitchers.

The Red Sox are in major disarray and perhaps on track for their fourth last place finish in past nine years

Rolling along but not overly optimistic since they haven't played anyone

Rays' pitching past 47 games vs BOS, NYY, HOU, CLE, OAK avg allowing 2.8 runs per game.

They are 97-65 past 162 vs the normal full slate of MLB opponents.

Go ahead and buy in.

There's certainly no other club in the AL w higher calibre 25 man roster

Tommy Pham:— has a 45-game on-base streak, longest in #Rays history— is batting .359/.462/.624 (61-for-170) with 6 2B, 6 3B, 9 HR, 27 RBI and 10 SB during streak— has reached base in 50 of 52 games since being acquired by Rays— has helped Rays go 37-15 (.712) when he starts.

Certainly NOT true

Now we're talking.

Name three

Or one

Closest IMHO is Houston thanks to their now 5+ yr commitment to Smart Baseball. They seem to have erred in how they dealt w Keuchel but otherwise the Rays' strongest potential opponent

its amazing to me you take two weeks of baseball and conclude the Rays have the best roster in the league.

Lets just crown Sea, NYM, and Padres now.

There's one HUGE issue with Smart baseball or Money ball, it doesn't win.

Go by all the numbers you want, we'll see who's there in September.

Looks like a great bet that they win 85, it's very early, they've got a decent shot at winning the division or finishing second, should win 85 anyway.
