Mickelson sure looked like a guy who deserved to play yesterday... 5 birdies and no bogeys in 17 holes...

The biggest difference is in Europe they take this stuff seriously. It's on TV 24/7 there. It is their main focus all the time. And then with the US team Watson picked players who were hot earlier in the year but had struggled lately. Billy Horschel was the best player in the world in the last month, but they had already picked the teams. What we need is younger better golfers. Furyk just needs to retire from the Ryder Cup. He can't win anymore. When you look at Henson, McIlroy, Rose & Garcia, those 4 could have won it by themselves. This is what they live for. Until our attitudes changes about golf (with no Tiger) we will always be subpar in the Ryder Cup. We have some really good young golfers coming up. But it may take a few years for them to get there. We need more golfers like Reed, who has a big ego and hates to lose. It's hard to call this U.S. team a flop when they were huge underdogs going in. I don't care who the Captain is, this team was never going to beat the Europeans.

Judging by the presser, Mickelson is a little pissed he only played twice

I would have selected Freddy Couples.....not joking......

Rose/Stenson with 10 birdies in a row......incredible......

Horshel was in contention for the fedex cup all year.....

Wes Simpson was a horrible pick...

Not sure where your info is coming from, but Horschel was not in contention all year. In fact its the exact opposite.
