YTD: 24-14-2 +$370 WIN%: 62.50%
We finish the year at: +$370 which will be split four ways at $92.5 a piece. We fell short of our 70% goal but a profitable season nonetheless.
A couple of things I hope everyone takes away from this thread:
1. Wager on QUALITY not QUANTITY (The fewer games you bet, the better the results)
2. Find quality UNDERDOGS in positive long term situations (Do research to determine which teams fall into positive long term systems...particularly Dogs)
3. Don't be afraid to wager larger amounts of money on a lesser number of games (Bet $10K on 1 game vs. $1K on 10 games...or whatever denomination is applicable. You get the drift)
4. Pay the lowest amount of VIG (Juice) that you possibly can. We negotiated -105 lines up front; try to do the same. There might be an occasional -110 or higher bet but the juice will add up in the long run...BET INTO THE LOWEST VIG THAT YOU POSSIBLY CAN.
5. Stay Disciplined! We had plenty of weeks that we could have made more plays and/or increased our wager amounts but it is best to "stay the course" and do what works. It might not be sexy, but it gets the job done and will put more money in your pocket in the long run.
Happy New Year to all and much continued success in the on going battle against the book!
