I wish I could bite my tongue on this one.

You are saying the whorehouses here in Vegas don't have 24 hour wi-fi.

P.S. I haven't blacked out yet.

We could send someone to get royally bitchslapped for $1080 on any given Friday or Saturday night.

That may be a bit more doable.

The WSOP is more about lottery than skill anyways.

We do have some very good poker players on here, a few many don't know about.

I know personally of three posters that played in the main event last year. IIRC, one cashed the other two did not.

There is a huge amount of luck involved, and I would think that it would be worthwhile for both site and posters to take a chance.

Someone present a realistic plan, with a low buy-in and low amount of players on the table for discussion.

We simply aren't going to get 10,000 players at $1 a pop, nor are we going to get 10 players at $1000 a pop.

We have lots of time to discuss and refine.

What if we had tourneys, where a percentage would go to the WSOP pool, or even the winner got a better shot at qualifying via tourney.

We'd have from the beginning of the year through April or so, like 4 months or 16 weeks.

40 RX Posters X $300 = 12000

Play online trny, winner goes to WSOP
If he makes the money, he kicks down a % to the other 39

I think $300 a pop is too much Coop.

I remember your hand which was 5k or 10k and you were not comfortable with that all your own.

(Going back in time, really wish you had won as you and Thumper truly are a class above the majority here)
.

Anyway, your point of giving others shares/interest is intriguing and something that should be discussed here. Our goal is someone getting lucky, and all of us having a rooting interest.

A financial interest would be even better, and should be brought to the table.

The more people involved (at least financially) the better from a PR standpoint.

I don't think you can have one tourney where the winner goes unless you had a sponsor that was willing to send a few people. Best thing to do would be to have a league basically where you played every week or month whatever was decided and award points for place finished each time person or persons with the most points go to the main event. I would be willing to throw in $20 or so and I wouldn't care if that person won and didn't pay me my money back. I think it would be wrong if someone won a free ride to the main event and wasn't wearing a RX polo. If we are just picking someone to go I vote Dobie since we know that there will be a couple of guys already in it maybe they can all wear RX shirts and we could cheer for them.

QFT,
You make many good points, and I have no idea how I missed you or your wife in August.

This is not about me, anyone who has a hardon for the Rx, or any other extent.

BTW,
PO 69
you are fucking disqualified right away.

no one will root for you GJ, so you are done.

Hope you understand.

My whole point is to rally around the underdog.

I hope someone, and here's my douchebag analogy of the century.

Let's say shdw01 gets to the final 9. Someone asks how he got there , and he says I put $20 in a satellite at a random gambling site and got lucky because far superior gamblers to me (like GreenDoberman and his AK folded to me).

Now I'm one of the nine people that no one in the country believes can play poker and they are paying me a lot of money to say "fee-hi" to them.

That is our best-case scenario and we are just rooting for someone.

So let's consider it that is what we want. aka lottery ticket for the year.

Let's just bring sponsors in....

100 posters, $100 each = $10,000
Rx/bodog/FTP/DoylesRoom sponsor 1-2 entries each (9 total sponsor entries)

Gear of sponsor required to be worn along with rx clothing....

Prizes to be split as follows:
Each contributing sponsor/poster paid on contribution of first $100k, any additional earnings split based on 50% of contribution, remaining 50% split among 10 entrants

I would not mind if half my .1% of 10,000,000 comes in at $5,000

fuck its late, although crystal clear in my head now, this will not make sense to me in the morning.

happy halloween

Gotta be 100$ or less to get the underdog type in there. $300 or more will just be the regulars who play the medium-level Steps on Riverstars anyway.

That said, I'm in.

Ten single tables at $100 each. Start a list and play when you get ten entries. The ten table winners play in the finals. $10,000 entry fee is awarded to the winner. The winner has 73% of his own action at the main event. The other 9 players at the final table each retain 3%. You may enter as many of the ten single table tourneys as you like.
