2005 Playoffs thread(14-7 last year)

For the year I am 63-50 going into the playoffs. All games are going to be between 1-5 units. Before I had usually just posted all as one unit, but I will post more in line with how I am betting them in the playoffs.

Seattle - 2 1st half / 2 units
6 pt teaser SD -.5, GB Pk / 2 units

I may add a total in the Seattle game close to game time.

Hey MYFOOTBALLGAME...

You might want to consider a "Money Line Parlay", I like to play ML parlays every now and then as I think more value can be found with ML parlays than teasers, as such I took Seattle, SD, and GB on a three team ML parlay and got +1.80 by doing so.

I also took Denver on the ML by themselves because an upset over the colts would not surprise me at all and got +4.25 by doing so, I also have Denver +10 and have GB -6.

Both halftime plays came in. I was hoping for the middle with the teaser coming in,but it didn't happen. Plus money non the less. My halftime plays have been my best plays for the past 8 years. It seems when other plays aren't coming in, it's the halftime plays that get the money.

For Sundays games I will post my halftime plays if i have any.

For now I am playing: 6.5 pt teaser Colts -3, Packers Pk laying 115 at ABC for 1unit

Week 2 Playoffs

The in game plays have been my strongest plays all year and I will keep trying to pound them there. If I were to tease I would take Pitt and Indy. But I am going to focus on in game bets. Pinnacle has them the whole game and you have the qtrs and halftime available there too. I think I will start an in game thread for each game and post my plays there. I am going to make one play official for now.

Pitt over 35 on action points/ take your maximum cap/ I'll use 40 points

Action Point play here was 1-0, + 1.50 action point units
In game bets 7-2, 4.80 units

Total for playoffs goes to 10-5, + 7.35 units and + 1.5 action point units.

WEEK 3 OF THE PLAYOFFS.
I will have a separate thread for in game betting as I have the last few weeks.

Play # 1 ------- For now I am taking the Eagles -3 + 100 in the 1st half for 3 units, I expect to come back and get the Falcons for + 3.5 for 1-2 units before the game, and will use the combinned bet of the Eagles - 2.5 - juice for 1-2 units, depending on how much I play the Falcons for.

I'm taking the Falcons for 1.5 units on the first half at + 3.5 - 125 at 5dimes to hedge the 3 units on Philly above. I will be starting a thread for live betting.

Super Bowl Play: Pats in the 1st qtr ML - 180(at Millennium) / 1 unit

If you want you can take - .5 - 115. New England has scored first in all their games but one this year, which bodes well for a ML 1st qtr play. I think the Pats win between 10-14, but I like the first qtr play best and will play it and go from there during the game.

Hello MYFOOTBALLGAME..

You are correct with regard to the patriots scoring first in 17 of 18 games this year while Philly scored first in 10 of 18 games, however, in an odd twist Philly actually scored more first quarter points this season than new england 114 to 97 and Philly also allowed less first quarter points 54 to 58.

Deb - There is no denying Philly played well in the 1st qtr this year also. Most teams with records like these two will have impressive 1st qtr stats. Both teams are great and know how to win. I just feel the Pats have been a better team in the playoffs and the Eagles will miss Chad Lewis and the ineffective TO very much so here. And if I lose the 1st qtr I have the rest of the game to make ammends with the bookies in offshore land. Best of luck to you Deb.

Action points 1-0, non action 11-5.


Total for the year was 75-55, + 9.9925 units, + 36.3 action point units.
Of which Non action points was 69-54, action points were 6-1, and teasers were 32-29( of note for next season --Teasers were 29-11 in weeks 3 through 13 and 3-18 in weeks 1,2, and playoffs.)
