(One note: As UW Husky season ticket holder, I can tell you that there is significant heat on Lorenzo Romar. In 40 years of watching basketball, I've seen few teams with as much talent as the UW be as poorly coached as they are. Watching Romar empty his bench last night and then let the game nearly slip away was disgusting. Baring a miraculous run the the Pac-12 tourney title, the UW will miss the NCAA tournament for the 5th straight year. There are few coaches in the country that can do less with more than Romar. Only 7 schools have produced more NBA players than the UW has during the Romar era, and the UW has virtually NOTHING to show for it.)

UW was up 27 with about 6:30 left to play and Romar was already running in guys who had seen very little action this season. WSU gradually chipped away, drawing to within 8 with just under 1 minute to play. Romar still had his DEEP bench in the game. Romar eventually had to put some starters back in with 30 seconds to play just to get the ball over half-court. It was awful. That 12.5 point cover should have been a gimme, but even beyond that, it was just an absolute abortion watching them play the last 6:30 without a clue. UW went approximately 5 minutes without scoring. Andrew Andrews, UW's only senior, was pulled with about 3 minutes to go in the game and UW only up 16 points so that Andrews could get an ovation from the crowd ... as if the game was over ... Andrews had 42 points at that time and was virtually the only UW guy that could make a fucking basket.

Romar, in a move that only served to spell out just how little he's taught his prize freshmen recruits, had to re-insert Andrews back in the game with about a minute to play just to hang on to the lead. Andrews finished with 47 points.
