1. lay off or play against teams with very bad bullpens.
2. Angles will score alot in the 2nd half.
3. Astros have to get better.
4. Pirates are not as good as people think. Both Wilsons have come down to earth.
5. Marlins games go under.
6. When Maggs and Thomas come back, the Sox will score ALOT.
7. The Red Sox will have a huge 2nd half now that everyone is back.
8. Fade the Royals.
9. The Indians should be of great value against any team not named the Red Sox, Yankees, or Angels.
10. The Cubs will go on a VERY fat run now.
12. When the Giants, Padres, and Dodgers play eachother and Schmidt is not on the hill, play the underdog.

Play fewer games.

I always start losing money when I play too many games in baseball (more than other sport, it seems.) The trick seems to be to find the really good spots and then to have the discipline to stick to them and not go chasing something else as well. I've learned that it's always better to go 1-0 than to go 5-4.

Every night doesn't present a good play; but most of us look for one and play something anyway.

Look for dogs that have a chance of winning. Dogs win an astonishing amount of time. Check and notice how many dogs win on any particular night. I've learned that I have a much better chance to make money playing two dogs than I have playing two faves.

Here's one that's taken me two years to learn, but it's been a steady money-maker: bet Schmidt. If I bet every game that Schmidt starts for SF, I will make money. I hate playing large faves, but Schmidt is money in the bank. Even if you bet the run-line in every game that he starts, you'll still make money.

Look for opportunities to go with the Cards. Most of the time they'll win.

Be more patient. I doubt that anyone will ever make a lot of money real fast on baseball, but steady wisdom can produce a winner over the long haul.

Play fewer games.

Bet against k.c. and seattle on raod. when teams trade studs like beltran and garcia they in effect give up. Have also been betting against Col on the road. Balt has the best over record. they have 2nd worst pitching and 5th best hitting. Like Cle and Chisox for over also. Redsox over at home. Mtl against also. Woul dhope anah would continue hitting i think they are plus 7 or so on the o/u. Wonder if hot weather in Tx will affect TX pitching and the overs will mean more. Balt o has been my best all year.

I watch a lot of Phillies games, and they are ready to implode. Outside of Milton, they don't have another solid starter. Millwood isn't cut out to be an ace and shouldn't have been resigned. The bullpen is solid but overworked (4th most innings pitched).
They can score runs, but leadoff hitter Rollins is in a 1 for 20 slump.(Abreu and Thome can't do it all)
144 HRs have been hit at Citizens Bank Park compared to 111 HRs at Coors Field.

Bottom line is the Phils' chances of winning the NL East are slim to none without a major pitching move. The shaky starting pitching combined with the small ballpark is a recipe for disaster.
It's time to sell this stock and look to fade the Phillies as a Fav except when Milton is pitching or when playing Montreal.
