I agree the book did keep you reading...but informative?...the main insight the book gave is that complicted and coveted software programs are the only way to beat the bookies.

It should have also showed you why it is that lines move by several points in a short time. I know some guys who think that it is because they bet $1,000 on a play. Shit, $1,000 doesn't move a line. It's the bets where guys are betting $25,000 to $100,000 at a time.

It confirmed the fact that I have always known . . . . . I am nothing more than a recreational gambler. And, it's likely that I will never BE more than a recreational gambler. I get nervous enough whenever I lay a $250 bet on a play. I couldn't imagine ever laying a $50,000 to $100,000 bet on a play.

I couldn't ever imagine laying $100,000 on a game...My palms start to sweat whenever I lay anything over $200. I would hate to see one of these rich fats cats when they go on a losing streak. I would hate it even worse if I was the one advising them on their plays..If they can afford to bet $100,000 or more a game, they can probably afford to take out a hit on somebody. If touting is anything like the movie Two For The Money, I don't think I would want to have any part of it. Matthew McConaughey's character Brandon Lane (sounds like Brandon Lang...LOL) got on a losing streak with the millionaire he was working for, and I thought they were going to killing him. Eh....No thanks... I'll stick to my smalltime recreational gambling. I prefer to live by the motto

I'm not afraid to die....I just don't want to be there when it happens.

The guy is Two For The Money is Brandon Lang.

Michigan at -7 looked fairly easy, now -3 just seems too easy. It'll be interesting to see how that one turns out.
