18 People Shot in Baltimore in one night

The shootings happened a little over a week ago. The first article is a report of the shootings. The second is a background to the shootings. It really is like something out of a movie. This has guns, drugs, kidnappings, ransoms, and murder. Anyone out there in Baltimore know of this Stephen Blackwell guy, or at least heard about him?

BTW I know what I'm talking about from both sides here. I have worked in Detroit a lot of years. I delivered shit to peoles houses and had direct contact with some of the best people I have could ever meet.

I also have been shot at 3 times just trying to do my job. So Phil Helmuth is not the only one that can dodge bullets.

One wrong turn in Baltimore and your done. That is the main difference I find in Baltimore. The inner harbor is a big draw, but if you stray too far the wrong way you are in the middle of gangland. If you have the balls and go to "The Block" be very careful. You walk 2 blocks away the wrong direction your going to get robbed, or held at gun point. That city is no joke.
My friends sister is a teacher there and lives in a nice area. One night she heard a knock late at night at her door. She opened it, and some 12 year old kid shot her in the gut. She survived, and the police told her that it's pretty much a common occurrence for gang initiations. They have the new members come up to the nicer neighborhoods, which are right next to the bad, and shoot random people. At least in other cities you have some warning that you are entering a bad neighborhood. Not in downtown Baltimore. Take a wrong turn your fucked

New Orleans was much the same. Move 2 blocks off Bourbon street to the north and you were in the worst housing projects in the US. We got rolled during college. Had a midgit with a sawed off shotgun pointed right at my chest as my pockets were cleaned...scary shit. actually can't believe we lived. If it wasn't for my friend fighting one of the thugs (not knowing I had a gun pointed at me) we were for sure dead.

I live in baltimore county but have went into the city the last 2 weekends for bars and stuff. Didnt see any shootings myself thank god but yes the city is a joke and is why i rarely go there.

I remember thinking there were some real ghettos in the United States and then I went to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico on the border and it made the U.S. ghettos look alot nicer----the only place to compete with it was Southeast D.C.
