Texas Tech QB Tyler Shough broke his collarbone, Matt Wells said. Wells estimated he'll be out six weeks and won't be back until November.......... back-up has experience

Clemson

Bad news: Bryan Bresee tore his ACL.... 2nd in Sacks this year with 1.5

Good news: Will Shipley did not tear his ACL. Swinney said he'll be back "in a few weeks."

ULM at Coastal Carolina this weekend ...

QB .....
Our family would like to thank everyone who has reached out with their thoughts and prayers for Rhett, as he is currently in the ICU at the hospital because of a lung injury from last night’s game against Troy.

On paper .... back-up looks like more of a running qb ?? ......... anyone ????

More coming soon

Injuries continue to rack up on defense

The defense, once again, bailed out the Sooners in the win, but it lost another big contributor, and one who’d had a huge game to that point.
Safety Delarrin Turner-Yell had five tackles, a big hit that broke up a pass, and an interception against the Mountaineers before he had the West Virginia running back land on his ankle after a run. Turner-Yell immediately signaled for the trainers, and not long after he was ruled out for the game.

This was after the Sooners announced during the week that both defensive tackle Jalen Redmond and cornerback Woodi Washington will miss extended time.
OU doesn’t get its first Saturday off for another five weeks. If the defense is going to be as heavily depended upon as it was tonight, Alex Grinch and company are going to need a little bit more luck health-wise than what they’ve been getting

Nevada....... ouch leader in Td's

Some bad news on the injury front for Nevada: Starting WR Elijah Cooks (Lisfranc foot injury) is out for the season. Starting SS Tyson Williams (knee) is out for a couple of weeks. Cooks had a team-high four receiving touchdowns this season.

CCU line jumped up a few points since Rhett is out. Backup a big drop-off? CCU 1H a play?

Good stuff, Kaboom. Thank you. I really like KSU plus the points vs OU this weekend, and have also played them on the ML. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the overrated Sooners go down this weekend.

Baylor Bears

Star linebacker Terrel Bernard is the glue that holds the Bears defense together. He suffered an apparent knee injury in the Bears’ Week 4 victory vs. Iowa State.

Oklahoma State Cowboys

Cowboys defensive end Brock Martin exited last week’s game vs. Kansas State with a left arm injury.

Tulsa World:
“Martin exited during the third quarter of Saturday’s 31-20 win over Kansas State and later stood on the sideline with his left arm supported by a sling. After the game, (head coach Mike Gundy) speculated the injury would sideline OSU’s sack leader for a ‘few weeks.’
Gundy offered no timetable Monday, but said the nature of the injury leaves Martin’s return contingent on him regaining flexibility in the damaged arm and pain management. Freshman Collin Oliver is expected to start in his place.”

Six of New Mexico’s top eight receivers did not play last week due to COVID-19 protocols.

Out for the Season...Wide Receivers

DJ Matthews, Indiana

Braden Smith, Louisville

Elijah Cooks, Nevada

Have some COVID issues to report; (See you posted them out last week, they will be out this week too)

New Mexico announced last Saturday several WR's and TE to miss game vs UTEP. Same players, out for 10 days, will miss Air Force game.

https://www.abqjournal.com/2432758/covid-tracing-miners-rock-lobos.html

"Wide receivers Mannie Logan-Greene, Keyonta Lanier, Elijah Queen, Andrew Erickson and Zarak Scruggs Jr., as well as tight end Trace Bruckler were ruled out after a positive COVID-19 case on the team that caused the players to be unavailable due to contact tracing, UNM Athletics announced minutes before the game. The six players had been instrumental in helping the Lobos start the season 2-1 before Saturday."

"At one point, UNM quarterback Terry Wilson threw 11 straight incompletions, eight to start the second half, showing the effects of the players who were out. The players must be quarantined for 10 days as a matter of caution, according to NCAA rules, so they will not be available for the Lobos’ Mountain West Conference opener against Air Force next Saturday at University Stadium."
