So for my 10,000[SUP]th[/SUP] post I wanted to do something slightly special. I had half a mind to never post again and just stay stuck on 9999, just for the fun of the mystery. But I can’t say goodbye to the RX and I don’t ghost so…
First and foremost I wanna say thanks to all the good guys here (you know who you are). This place has made me a better gambler, and sharing life insights with y’all has maybe made me a better person too. It has definitely served as a hangout over the years that I couldn’t imagine doing without.
When thinking about what to do for this post I figured I would make some predictions for things that would happen in my next 10k posts. But first a recap of my first 10k.
Since my first post here I have (in no particular order):
- Gotten married
- Relocated twice (Illinois to Wisconsin to Alabama)
- Developed a drinking problem
- Held 9 different positions with the same company
- Had a near-death experience that left me in the ICU for 3 weeks
- Gotten divorced
- Seen the Blackhawks win 2 Stanley Cups
- Seen the Cubs fail to win a single playoff game
- Quit drinking
- Lived through the Journeyman saga, the Ace-Ace situation, the Randizzle hype, Wilheim’s reign, and a million other posters and mods come and go.
Predictions to occur by my 20,000[SUP]th[/SUP] post
- BAS will take over for the Billy Walters group after Walters passes on
- After marijuana becomes completely de-criminalized, Murph will own a dispensary
- Defying will open a Smoky Bones and/or a Bojangles down south somewhere
- Coldweather and Ace-Ace will mutually publish a ground-breaking study on mastery of the English language
- Viejo Dinosaur will hit a hole in one while getting a hummer from a Thai tranny, which will be videotaped by Wapner and put on youtube, and will go viral
- Enfuego will finally meet his match and will still be here arguing in am 800+ page thread started in mid-2016
- Justin Cruise will die of auto-erotic asphyxiation
- Wilbur will die of old age
- Akphidelt will become a plus-sized model for homosexual Eskimo outer-wear
- Shdw01 will cash big in either a poker tournament or the Hilton, will move to Vegas to try his hand at full time gambling, will go so broke he can’t afford to get home, and will be a bum on the streets of Vegas
OK I’m done typing now, I could go on all night but I’m hungry. Hopefully we can bump this in 8-10 more years and see what has come true.
