Hollywood, probably. CRIS, doubtful.

I could be wrong though.

What book in CR offers a lot of Golf options ?

I used to have an account at WSEX, they had tons of betting options for Golf bettors.

Cris and Hollywood two top Costa Rican books at the moment IMO. Cris, for me at least, because that is where I get first shot at the line.

But Grande [just forget the location technicalities for a moment] is #1 right now because I will find great bases lines there in the spring as of course I will at Hollywood also.

Though it does not affect my play, high limits should add to the appeal of Grande and Cris.

Add the Greek for quickest 2nd halfs and I'll add [and fortunately this does not apply to me either] one can call and make as little as a $5 phone bet. I mean where else? Just remember to withdraw from the Greek and Cris on April 1st so your never tempted.

I wish somebody could tell me why besides scalping and middling, one would need any outs other than Grande, Cris, Hollywood, Olympic, BetPanam and possibly still Canbet, though those blokes seem to be trying hard to take themselves off the list. Oh yeah, Pinnacle. Knock yourselves out guys. Your money is safe while you have it.

No knock against Lenny. Can find a good number there sometimes, never had any problems, money out quick and if bankroll permitted that is the out I would add again to my above list.

Thanks for the responses Guys.

Wondering though if you guys can give reasons for preferring one more then the other. Is it a thing of better customer service, one pays faster, one is more willing to resolve situations without hassel.

Things like that.

Lack of tennis lines.

As a full time tennis handicapper I can't make money if the lines aren't being offered.

Pinnacle and CRIS are ok for the larger tournaments and so is Olympic sometimes but only 5Dimes offers lines on the challenger tournaments which is my bread and butter.

Hollywood is hands down the best book in CR right now. There transformation from credit to post up in the last 5 years, has set the standard on how to accomplish this. Fast payouts, multiple betting options (soccer, golf, and prop bets, )excellent customer service, and for when i do have to call in bets, decent clerks. I love this place and cant reccomend them enough. They just need to change that software, that seems to be the only negative thing i can think of.2003 has been an excellent year for Hollywood!!!!

I E Mailed Five Dimes and asked them what there limits were on AA College Football.

They never answered. That told me what kind of customer service I might expect if I made a deposit with them.

I passed, but they sure have a lot of interesting options.

After they have established themselves as a decent "out" I'll reconsider.

Good thread. Hollywood has been good to me but I'm very, very leery of all CR books. You guys all hang togather as far as I'm concerned. The offshore betting companys in third world countrys must a "tight nit" bunch I would suspect.

This is true, their e-mail support is non existent. If you call they are very friendly and they speak good english. They also have live chat correspondence that has worked quite well for me.

I requested a payout today. It was in my Neteller account in 5 minutes. I'm very happy with them.

I AM PRETTY SURE THEY ARE IN COSTA RICA BUT TO NOT EVEN INCLUDE THEM IN THE POLE IS A CRIME, THEY ARE THE SAFEST FOR SURE OUT OF ALL THOSE BOOKS.

Hey scpnc,

I saw your post but on sportbookreview.com sportsbook.com is rated pretty low. Thats part of the reason I did not have them on it. I was looking for ones with a higher rating man.

But I do respect your opinion

Thanks

I thought the CRIS vs Hollywood would end up being a good matchup.

I voted for CRIS but I think Hollywood is better for most players. CRIS is a pretty well oiled machine that knows its market and does a great job with the bigger players, early lines, betting options, ect.

Hollywood is making great strides but most have been recent ones. The big advantage Hollywood has over CRIS for the average player is much lower transaction fees and a little better bonuses & promotions.

I must agree with Joey C, once again. Today, there are 3 places down here in Costa Rica, that understand the nature of this business. By name:

Hollywood Sportsbook:

The pure, highly concentrated essence of bookmaking.

The quintessence of Book Making. These guys make books. They do business. They mean MONEY. His owner is the incarnated definition of a corteous gentleman. Who would drop dead before a breach of contract on his behalf. A Stand Up guy with deeeeeeeeeeeeep pockets...

He stands tall too.

Where do the sound strengths of this shop come from? That's a quality question. From MANAGEMENT; more especifically: Martino, the ultimate brain machine. That's a quality answerThe man is an eagle, he is the fire starter in Holly's bonfire. (He'll probably kill me when he reads this, as he is a modest man who hates exposure. Just giving credit where credit is due).
icon_wink.gif

Fernando: the name itself speaks of a legend. A legend created in the Ultimate Babylon: N.Y. A man that knows the business so well, he makes it look simple.

Will, sharp kid with big brains. A youngblood FREE Radical.

Having moved to -107 has been one of their wisest decisions for their post-up business. VALUE is the name of the game

Cascade - Lenny and Dru:

Cascade is an excellent choice for the player. This is a place that is run tightly by a very honorable guy. You will find different numbers, a sharp opinion in a diverse variety of aspects. If you talk Pinny; well, you'll be talking MLB Lenny. One of the guys that books Pinny, in more than one sport.

Lenny is the name of the man.

Wise guy, pure breed. A person with a clear understanding of the game.

Cascade is the name of the shop.

Lenny recently took another man of his kind as a business associate. This has been a very good year, business-wise, for Cascade.

I'm sure Lenny will eventually make an official statement regarding this new partner, just to hush pernicious rumors.

And of course, last but not least: CRIS. CRIS is a bank. And I mean that literally. They bank bookies. They, as Hollywood and Cascade, BOOK other books. These three books absorb the risk other shops take. And Holly books the other 2 in the triplet.

***THESE THREE BOOKS ARE SOLID SHOPS IN COSTA RICA ***

P.S.: This is where I meant to post this...

First off, only 2 of those 5 books on the Poll deserve to be considered, and those are Hollywood and CRIS. Cascade deserves to be on that list as well. But what shocks me is that nobody mentioned JAZZ. I have been with them for years and they always take large bets and have great clerks. I would have to say that the Top 4 without a doubt are (in no specific order): Cascade, CRIS, Hollywood, and Jazz. For the 5th spot, there are a couple of others to choose from.
