1.7k into 17k thread.......

Okay, baseball has been rough. This is my situation. I need to turn the remaining 1.7k in my bodog account, into 17k.

be back with more plays....i know im wagering about a third of whats left in my account on one game, but i feel the cards coming home will pull this off.....not only do they hit better against lefties, but cleveland is not a very good team now. cards played both the top two teams in the AL, imo, and played some tough games. Hope to see them roll on monday

a word of advice don't bet more than 7% of bankroll on one bet
ever. And baseball is killing many, maybe you should look into WNBA?

Don't belive these non believers. It can be done. I have made over 10k with 500. But that is after losing 5k first. You just have to slam it hard when you are HOT and don't be afraid. If you are, DON"T BET IT!!! If you have any doubt, DON't BET. It is better to place big bets on less games. small bets on more games and chances are you will be wrong more. Don't chase and don't get MAD. That ius the downfall. Don't let emotions be a factor when gambling. I cash out most and started with 500 again. Now I have 1300

Excellent post, Bigbac9...but I have a couple of questions, when you know you are 100% sure on a pick and do slam it hard---do you watch the game or escape to someplace remote and look at the results four hours after the event?

Yesterday, I was positive the dodgers would win and wound up posting it all over different forums that it was a solid play but did not bet it because I got lazy.

Like you were in the past, I'm now down 5 dimes but agree it can be done. I just wish I knew why I get gun shy or bet small amounts on games I feel certain will win. If I could just let emotions not interfere, I know I'd be a better gambler. Any tips on not letting those damn emotions get the best of you?

I get the impression that you are chasing since you said somethig along the lines of "the remaining 1.7K left in my Bodog account" That makes it sound like you were up at one point, now you are down and chasing. If that is the case, I don't like the betting/chasing with 1/3 of your bankroll. There is a reason that the pros bet such a little percent of their roll.

I also like the Dodgers alot yesterday and placed the bet. If I have time, I will watch the game. I don't get upset if they are trailing because outcomes don't come out till the very last out in baseball. And there is nothing you can do about it. Just think of it as a mistake. No one can win them all. Since you didn't place the bet, I think you were over confident about it and you had doubts otherwise why not play it. You probably thought there are no 100% sure things, there isn't. Only 90% sure winners. The emotions come in when you need the ca$h. I only play with money I can lose. This way I don't get worried or upset.

i was just assuming he needs 17k because he said he NEEDED to turn the 1.7 into 17. If he needs the money he should definently withdraw the 1.7k and stop gambling until he has 17k.
