A couple of plays tonight for the Ranked but not Favored trend.

Villanova -3.5 (playing #21 W. Virginia)
Vanderbilt -2.5 (playing #19 Alabama)
*ranking according to the AP poll. I do verify with the AP, ESPN/Coach's, and CBS polls to make sure the ranked teams are in all of them.

So far this season, I've tracked the trend at going 2-2 (-0.2 units). This is included in my above NCAAB record.

May have some other plays tonight for another trend. With such a large card there's bound to be something.

Epper-Your record is probably right. I think there were a few plays early in the season that I missed. After tonight this takes your numbers to 7-2 right?

Question

Do any of you who are tracking this trend have historical data for it (2 years, 5 years, 10 years, anything really just more than one season). I've heard of it before, but never tracked it and never seen the numbers. Also, does the trend apply when it is two ranked teams playing each other?

I've done it for 3 years and never lost, but I don't have data. seems to me it hits over 60% easily.

Last season somebody was tracking this on here. I believe it was around the 60% mark. Kaya man was the person following it if I remember correctly. you might be able to check back in the archives or something to see how it went.
