1-2 last night with a two-unit loser on Wisconsin.

Tonight's card looks good. Missed a few because of some big line moves (Miami, for example), but still some good games out there.

Here are some early plays:
735 Notre Dame + 7 at Villanova 1 unit
-- I think Nova is laying about 2-3 too many here based on the big win on Saturday vs. Kansas. Notre Dame has played great ball on the road in the Big East. They should hang around inside the number tonight.

786 Bradley -3 vs. Creighton 1 unit
-- I really hate betting against Creighton, but Bradley has been phenomenal at home. I'll take them for one unit.

791 S. Illinois +1.5 vs. SW Miss. St. 1 unit
-- After the loss to Witchita on Saturday, S. Illinois really needs to win this game.

Should be back with more later. A lot of good dogs tonight.

743 Marquette +17 at Louisville.
Diener is playing from what I gather. It's hard to play these one-man shows sometimes, especially on the road, but this seems like a lot of points. Marquette, despite their struggles, is still a tournament-quality team.

More to come.

Thanks for the kind words, but I've tanked in the last week or so. Happens every year it seems. January is the toughest month, but always seem to build back through Feb. March is the best time of year.

Thanks again.

AK,

I am somewhat surprised by Southern Illinois's success this year-I know they have good guard play, but I thought their lack of an inside game would catch up to them.SW's 2-6 conference record is a little misleading in my opinion-they have lost some tough games, including the 1 point loss at Carbondale.I almost posted SW as a play, but saw better opportunities elsewhere. That being said,I hope you cash.Wanted to play Marquette as well, but Louisville has just been beating the dog out of everybody lately.

755 Wisc.-GB +9 at Detroit 1 unit
-- One Jeckly and Hyde team plays another. All all seriousness, I can't seem to get a great read on either of these teams. However, one thing I know for certain is that Detroit doesn't deserve to be laying nine against GB. GB has an outside chance of winning this conference. OK, very outside. But at 5-2 in league play, they have to be motivated. Nine is alot.

767 BC +1 at Providence 1 unit
-- I know the Eagles are due to lose, but the Friars may be the most disappointing team in D-I this year. BC wins a tight one.

That should be all all.

As for Marquette, that's definitely not a play of the year material, but I think Louisville's lines are starting to get outrageously high again. That said, they are covering. And, one of my biggest weaknesses this year has been finding the bigger dogs that cover. I've consciously tried to stay away from them lately unless I really like a game. Marquette shows up tonight.

I think S. Illinois is for real and may still win the conference. We'll see though.

GL everyone.
