*MONDAY'S PLAYS (10-20):

New England -3


We all know about NE's woes as a team....but here are some things I like in this match-up for them against this Denver team, which everyone seems to be in Love with...LOL.

Denver comes into this one ranked 30th in the league in total defense...They are ranked 26th vs the run...They are ranked 24th in the league in points allowed...And, here's the big one, they are ranked Last in the league against the pass...WOW!

Another thing, I found was that this defense of the Broncos only has recorded 2 interceptions all season...and that opposing QBs are completing a whopping 73% of their passes vs them...WOW!

Sure...the Pats defense will have to go up against Cutler, who currently leads the AFC in passing yards and completions...But, if you look closer you will see that the Broncos offense is coming in on some woes themselves...In fact, their offensive production has fallen...as in their first 3 games they were averaging 40 ppg...and haven't scored more than 19 ppg in their last 3 games.

I will tell you that one thing that scares me was the fact that NE has given up 20 sacks in their 5 games so far...but, then I looked further and found that Denver struggles to get to the QB and that is again evident in WHY their defensive passing stats and performances on the season are so poor...Remember, Cassel still got some targets at his disposal...And, I see tonight they all connecting with eachother.

Another thing I like is that fact that even with NE's woes right now...they are still under the discipline of Belichick...and that discipline is Key for a struggling team looking to get in the grove...Currently, the Pats are ranked 2nd in the league with just 17 penalites called against them...Furthermore, under Belichick they know how to respond and get ready after they have a setback, which is evident in the Pats going 15-4-1 ATS in their last 20 games after a loss...In addition to that the Pats are also a solid 18-5-1 ATS in the month of Oct.

The bottom line here for me Gang...is that NE will be ready and they will be hungrey coming off that embarrassing loss on national tv vs the Chargers...They are facing a team in the Broncos that struggles on the road...and have loss their last road game to an embarrassing team called the Chiefs...In fact, the Broncos were blown out in that one.

Tonight, I look for the Pats to bring their best game...and I look for the fans to rowdy as hell, as they don't want to see another of their icon teams go down like the Red Sox just did....The Broncos are just 6-20 SU in their last 26 MNF road games...And, they are bringing in a defensively challenged team that is giving up almost 26 ppg and a whopping 395 ypg as well.

And lastly..I must bring up the FACT again, that this Denver team lost to lowly KC on the road 33-19, and now have dropped 2 of their last 3 games....GO PATS!

We all know about NE's woes as a team....but here are some things I like in this match-up for them against this Denver team, which everyone seems to be in Love with...LOL.

-WF offense is in disarray and struggling to run the ball...One reason is the Big Uglies are banged up...with now losing C Bailey for the year...How bad has their offense been...well, the Deacons have only scored 1 TD in their 3 ACC conf games...That's not enough against this Miami offense who has found some nice rythum...and who are coming off a solid road win and are now very hungray to notch some ACC home wins.

-One thing I am aware of is that this La Tech team is on their 3rd road game out of their last 4...Also, in one of them roadies they played my Warriors...and their defense allowed my Warriors to run for 177 yards, 4.4 ypc...and also hold a TOP advantage of almost 13 minutes.

If they couldn't even stop Hawaii's potentless running offense that only averages 112 ypg and 3.7 ypc...how the hell do they expect to stop the Cadets, triple-option attack that is ranked 11th in the land, averaging 253 ypg and 4.6 ypc....not to mention the Cadets are ranked 15th in TOP as well.

In fact, the best running team the Bulldogs defense has faced so far was Boise St's 66th ranked rush offense...the rest including my Warriors all ranked 85th or worse...So, that national ranking of 18th best rush defense, allowing just 3.2 ypc that the Bulldogs have...is VERY WEAK and MISLEADING.

La Tech also not so good on the road as they are currently 0-3 ATS and also 13-35 ATS since 2001...Here's another stat I like...La Tech has lost its last 4 road games by a combined score of 160 to 34....and the Cadets although not a high scoring team, has rushed for 280, 291, 341, & 320 yds in their last 4 games.

And, this is something I also like favoring the Cadets in this one....they are coming off a disappointing loss in a OT game they should of won, but we all know that our military academies always are resilient and will always play discipline, hard nose ball...Furthermore, this angry bunch will be going up against a new Bulldog QB making his first road start in their house.

La Tech off a blowout win over the worst team in the nation...but it was a WAC win, and they do have a Big game vs Fresno St next week...Lastly, One Week is NOT enough time to prepare a defense for this triple-option attack that the Cadets will show them today...GO ARMY!

-Tigers are a solid 41-4 at home since 2002...And the main reason why I believe they will be 42-4 after today's game is simply due to LSU controlling the line of scrimmage...They have some solid Big Dawgs to take big-time advantage of this very young Big Uglies unit for the Bulldogs, which I believe is all Fr and Sophs.

NOTE: GEORGIA'S OL IS BANGED UP AND YOUNG...GOING UP AGAINST THIS SOLID AND ACTIVE D-LINE OF THE TIGERS IS NOT GOOD!...Remember the Alabama game...The Line-of-Scrimmage is where this one will be won.
